L'Oreal Paris Botanicals Coriander Strength Cure Shampoo Review

I really like the packaging that L'Oréal have used for their new range. I like how the brown bottle goes nicely with the green on the label. It's simple but lovely.

I absolutely adore the smell. It's a fresh, earthy, herby natural kind of scent and it's quite strong. I have gotten a few compliments about how good my hair smells though!

I like how it's a pump bottle but, the shampoo is a little thick to effectively use the pump. You really have to press down hard to get the shampoo out. Not sure if that's just my particular bottle or the whole range.

The shampoo lathers up pretty well once you start massaging it in. It does make my hair feel dry but most shampoos do anyway.

Overall, I haven't noticed a huge difference in strength from this shampoo but as I've been using the trio of products together, I feel the whole range is definitely working together as I have noticed less breakage.

My hair has suffered over the years, mostly from chemically straightening and heat. As a result I am always looking for a product to give my hair a bit more love and hopefully life. After being sent the range to try I am stoked with the results, my hair feels amazing and it didn't react with my sculpt (like some products do) so a total win!

When I received this product I was excited as I am a huge fan of coriander. The scent of this shampoo is amazing and I absolutely loved how the scent lasted in my hair for a short amount of time.

The pump bottle packaging is exactly what I like to use and I found that a couple of pumps was ample to cover all my hair.

I used this shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner and also the strength potion. I found that my hair became stronger with less breakages when brushing and styling my hair.

The only downside was that I found my hair became oilier quicker than when I use my normal shampoo.

Over the last week I have been trying out newest collection from L'Oreal and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. My first impression was not great, a coriander shampoo did not sound the least bit appealing. I was worried people would sniff my head and ask what I had been doing to myself. However the smell was fine and not overwhelming at all. The packaging is impressive and smart I love having a pump action shampoo. The dark colours are new and different from most shampoo brands and I was also impressed to see that the bottle is recyclable!

The shampoo had a good lather to it and as I said the smell wasn't to overpowering. Easy to wash out. Unfortunately this is where most of my good news ends. Over the week I didn't notice a huge difference in my hair. In fact the days where I left my hair for two days I felt my hair looked a little more greasy than usual and felt slightly itchy.

I will certainly use the product until the end of the bottle but I won't be running out to purchase another bottle in a hurry. In saying that though I would be very interested to see if they bring out similar interesting smells in the future.

I have tried a lot of different hair products over the last few years because i have been so destructive to my hair with bleaching and dying. I haven't found many products that actually help the health of my hair, instead they just mask the problem for a day or till then i have to re-apply and the cycle continues..... UNTIL NOW :) This product has actually made a difference with the health of my hair in less than two weeks. My hair looks and feels so much healthier. It doesn't knot up as much (because of the bleach) or break when i brush it and it has a shine to it that i haven't had in a long time. I am extremely impressed with these results and in such a small amount of time as well. I absolutely love the fragrance, such a nice refreshing smell. I will be purchasing this and making it my main hair care routine.

The packaging is fantastic. As I was only expecting the shampoo I was suprised to see the conditioner and hair serum also. I was really impressed with the bottles which makes the product look more expensive and not just like your standard shampoo you get from supermarkets.

Conditioner review: Left my hair feeling nice and light. I liked the smell. was a nice creamy texture that was easy to apply.

Serum review: Not too heavy, didnt leave my hair feeling oily, although I did feel like i had to wash my hair the next day. I liked the fact the bottle came with a dropper as it was quite a watery serum

My hair is damaged and is fragile from hair dye. I am sorry to say I did not see any changes to the strength of my hair. Again, the product smells nice and it gave a good clean, but didnt do what it said it would....

Over the past week using this shampoo along side the conditioner and strength potion I have found amazing results. I have to be honest and say that seeing the word Coriander I wasn't sure on how it would smell and yes it does have a strong smell buts its very natural and once your hair is dry I couldn't smell it at all! Also I have long hair, down to my ribs and it dried exceptionally fast! I did have to use more product then normal but the results after using it three times, I would 100% repurchase, my hair looked so much and felt so much healthier after a short period of time!

This line of products really intrigued me, mainly because there is no silicon in them. I was so happy and thankful to get to review them!

This shampoo is really good. I like how it comes with a pump, it's so handy! I like the consistency of the shampoo because it foams up really well, and I end up using less product than I would with any other normal shampoo. I feel like because it foams up so well, I don't need to wash my hair twice like I usually do.

The first word that came to mind after first using this shampoo was 'light'. My hair felt really lightweight - similar to if I had it washed at a salon. It felt like a deep cleaning shampoo, but didn't strip my hair of moisture which I love!

Something that amazed me was that my hair didn't get as greasy as it usually does after a couple of days without being washed. Usually it feels straw-like and rough, but it stayed pretty smooth which made me so happy.

Overall I am extremely impressed with this shampoo, it exceeded my expectations and I will very happily continue to use it!

The first thing that stood out about this range is the fact that it is eco-friendly, including the recyclable packaging. I have been more conscious of my purchases recently and have been making an effort to reduce how much waste I send to landfill. This made it perfect timing to have a shampoo that sits in my shower in all its eco-friendly glory.

The eco-friendly statement is not only made in the packaging, but is also screamed in the scent. One word; coriander. I find it to be a very powerful scent, and not one that I enjoy having in a beauty product. I noticed that the shampoo contains coconut oil - if it smelt like coconut it would have become a firm favourite.

The shampoo itself is dispensed through a super-handy pump. This sits perfectly in my shower and makes it quick and easy to get the product that I need. It dispenses a small amount at a time, but this is positive as it is probably encouraging me to stop over-using my beauty products. Despite the lack of lather, it still spreads evenly and easily throughout my hair. It rinses out easily and my hair is left feeling clean and fresh. With some shampoos I wash my hair twice, so it is a bonus that it isn't needed with this one. I have only used the shampoo a few times, so I can't comment on it strengthening my hair; however, it definitely hasn't dried it out.

I have shoulder length, damaged and colour-treated hair that is usually washed every second day. I have used salon and supermarket shampoos in the past. Will I repurchase this one? No - purely because of the scent. I will however, be tempted to purchase a different shampoo from the same range. Maybe there is something with a little extra coconut?

I was really excited to be chosen to trial the shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment from this range. My colour and heat treated hair is in need of some extra love so I take whatever I can get that will help it out. I’m usually a supermarket shampoo/conditioner girl so trying something from L’Oreal which is in that next price bracket up is a bit of a treat.

I really like the packaging of this range. The brown bottles remind me of older style apothecary bottles that you would find in a pharmacy – but being completely made out of recycled materials (other than the dye) means it has that modern twist. The shampoo itself the packaging I’m not a huge fan of. The pump only dispenses a small amount of product and I find it quite difficult to push down on – but really in the scheme of things that isn’t a big deal.

The scent of this isn’t something I’m a big fan of. I find it interesting that they decided to go with coriander given that some people are genetically disposed to hate it (it tastes like soap to some people). Luckily I’m not one of those people, and I adore coriander usually. Unfortunately though the herbally scent really doesn’t do it for me and smells a wee bit too strong – a wee bit like a medication rather than a spa experience I wanted. I find I need to use quite a bit of this product to get a good lather in my hair – but this might be because of my lack of experience of products without parabens or silicones which is supposed to be good for your hair. On the website it says you need to use three knobs worth, which I think is probably about right (knob is their word - really!). I do find that it makes my hair feel a bit tangled but I don’t mind as it makes it feel very clean. However I do think you need to use it in conjunction with the rest of the range to see the benefits of it to make sure that your hair isn’t dried out.

I don’t know if I would purchase this particular product again, but I am certainly interested in the rest of this range and will keep an eye out for it (when it is on special that is).
