Foolproof, gentle & delivers desirable results.

Prior to using this I used the L'oreal ombre kit for dark hair about 2 months before hand, the lengths of my hair were a medium brown to begin with (natural uncolored hair). After using the ombre kit for dark hair the result was pretty much the same as the model's hair on the box, several shades lighter, brassy for sure but definately not that horrible fried orange color you will probably know all about if you have dark hair and have ever attempted to bleach at home. I decided that my hair was light enough to go with the L'oreal ombre kit for blonde hair this time as the lengths were definately what you would call a light color although not exactly blonde.

So this product is extremely easy to apply and impossible to stuff up, the applicator brush is fabulous you squirt the bleach formula directly onto the brush and simply run it through the lengths of your hair. The gloves that come with the kit are comfortable and rubust not going to split while your using them but they run quite small, if you have large hands or long fingers you might need to find another pair. A generous amount of conditioner is included with the kit, I have long hair past my shoulders and there's enough in the bottle to get at least 4 washes out of it.

I left this product to develop on my hair for the maximum recommended time of 45 minutes. Usually my hair feels soft as it is in good condition, it felt noticeably coarser but not dry and horrible after rinsing out the product and conditioning treatment. When dried my hair felt soft again not dry (dehydrated) at all as is often the case with bleach. As far as I can tell this bleach formula did not damage my hair at all I sometimes put argon oils through my hair if it's feeling a bit dry, suspected I would need to after bleaching with this kit but I didn't need it.

The result is a golden yellow sandy blonde without any orange tones. I'm very pleased with the result although I will probably pick up a purple toning shampoo at some point to get it more towards a true white blonde color.

Don't be afraid to give this product a go if you're thinking about it, I don't think you can really go wrong with it and it's very gentle on the hair despite being bleach!

L'Oréal Paris Préférence Wild Ombré Shade 4 Blonde

I used this once after I used the shade 2 to try and lighten more,The packaging is great very sleek and stylish the quality of all the contents are high the instructions are simple and easy to understand. The brush they give you to help create the ombre look is not that great its very hard to get the dye off the brush and onto your hair it gets stuck and tangles the hair quite a lot, I was hoping this would lighten up the few orange toned parts I had in my hair from the shade 2 I used but it had the opposite effect it made my hair super orange and a patchy mess of various shades of orange and wishing id never done it and just left my hair with the shade 2 in it.Also the ombre look was not achieved with the brush it was pretty much a deadline across my hair and did not look good but I was impressed by the feeling of my hair after I had dyed it with both shade 2 & 4 (separately) the quality of my hair had not been affected and still felt super smooth and great.

Hmm sounds like your experience with this was pretty much the opposite of mine, was your hair colored when you used it?

orange!

I used the darker one first even though my hair is a light brown colour, and it went very very orange.. I liked how the brish worked and it felt really good after id used it but the colour was to orange. I then used the lighter shade of this over the top the next day and that sort of fixed it but I did have to go get a toner put through to make it wearable.

Tips: possibly do a test patch as I have light hair and it still went orange.. especially if you have dark hair like the box says is ok.

Ombré

Definitely a good product though it would of been nice for it to touch the old black from a year ago (was only quarter of my bottom half of hair) but apart from that the dye was great. The only other down side was the the gloves, very lucky mum had a new pair of housework gloves and wish I had checked gloves before making up the dye.

Tips: Just check gloves so if they don't fit then you can buy some other gloves.

Wild Love

I can not even begin to describe how excited I was when I sore this trial pop up on BR and I got an invite. I have have naturally sandy blond hair but have been dying it for years from brown to black to red to purple and eventually back to blond so I am both natural and not a natural blond. This dye isn't recommended for hair that's been dyed so I thought the results would be subtle if it worked at all but it turned out amazing! It didn't make my hair yellow or orangey and its not dry and frizzy and its not a straight line between dark and light, it fades. The brush applicator worked well when using on small sections at a time but I got a bit impatient adjust used my fingers. The consistency was good, reasonably thick so it didn't drip or run but was still easy to use. The smell was wasn't good but hair dye never smells good and its definitely not the worst smelling dye I have used. So over all I simply loved it, easy to use, great results and I have had numerous complements. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend using this to any one, 10 out of 10 :)

Tips: dye small sections at a time to get an even result.

L'Oreal Paris Preference Ombre-Blonde to Blonde

Starting off with the Packaging – It’s done in a very professional matter. Right from the start you can see that this I a quality product. I found that the instructions were very easy to follow. I knew exactly what to do from the start. I was so glad that they supplied gloves that actually fit properly on your hand for an easy application. And they supplied two pairs for you to use. Applying the product was quick, easy and such a pleasure with the application brush they supplied to do the Ombre with. I was so surprised with the generous amount of application product that they supplied. I even had some left over after applying loads on my hair already. The conditioning shampoo smelt amazing and I found that a little goes a long way. It left my hair very nourished and it had an amazing shine and smell. I would highly recommend this product to every and anyone as this is an AMAZING product to use. I've already recommended it to my family and friend.

Tips: Go out and get it. It's worth it.

Works like a dream!

The most simple and easy home ombré kit! True to the colour on the box it has turned out so well. I'm so impressed at how easy the product is to apply. With the provided brush it makes application a lot easier than trying to apply it yourself. It is easy to get a soft line on difference where the ombré colours come together. Great value for the price and would be easy to touch up. The ombré trend seems very simple to maintain. Loreal have really thought the process through in trying to make it as simple as possible for the home user. With descriptive pictures and descriptions on how to apply. Also pictures of how ombré would look best on your hair style! Will definitely use again! Thank you

Tips: Make sure most product is on the ends of your hair to ensure you have a bold colour. Start applying product from ends of hair gently working it upwards so it blends in. Make sure you have a creamy conditioner as it only comes with a shampoo/conditioner in one and doesn't condition as much as your hair needs! Part your hair into smaller sections to make application easier!

Home Ombre Kit :D

I got bored of my regular blonde hair (I naturally have very light, ashy blonde hair) and I've always loved the ombre trend so when L'Oreal brought out this blonde to blonde ombre, I was stoked! I thought I wouldn't be able to ombre my hair due to it being light already, but this kit is amazing! I did it last night, it was super easy and not messy to apply, all you do is use the brush to brush it on the ends and build it up and it blends perfectly! The only thing I can say that's bad about it is the color turned out more yellow than I would like, but that may be because I left it in for 30 minutes instead of the top time of 45 minutes. Nothing a bit of Fudge purple shampoo can't fix. It looks lovely and the shampoo smells lovely too! I went to a salon to get purple shampoo and the hairdresser didn't believe I did it at home ;) Definitely recommend!

Tips: Part your hair in two (like it says), put a VERY small amount of dye on the brush and mark where you want the ombre to go up to. Then start at the ends and build it up from there, making sure that most of the product is on the ends or it won't ombre properly. Also make sure you go to the same point at the back!

Use with Fudge purple shampoo to keep out the brassy/gold tones!
