I brought this at the end of last summer to mainly use on my roots (I have dyed blonde hair) and thought it could have been a better option than constantly re dying my hair. I have had many successful Loreal products in the past so I was excited to try this out.
This comes in a handy squeeze tube with a bright pink flip top lid. The instructions on the back say to apply it to your hair and then "activate" it by blow drying your hair or going out in the sun. I tried both and found the hair dryer more effective and I could see results a lot faster I also noticed when it sat in my hair and dried in the sun my hair went really hard and straw like, like I had dumped a big blob or hair gel in my hair.
I haven't noticed my hair any drier than normal in the areas where i applied the jelly.
I never used gloves to apply it, but if you don't wash your hands right after using it they go a white colour like if you had burnt your skin... Not pretty.
I would buy this again if my favourite lightening spray wasn't available I did notice results after 2 applications and I think the more your out in the sun the more it works. Even after blow drying it.
This product is fantastic! It's not like other lightening products I've used before, such as box bleach or bleach spray. You add a bit of this jelly to your hair - I just use it in certain places, such as around my face to make it look like my hair has been naturally lightened by the sun - and over time your hair lightens. The effect is not instantaneous, so if you're impatient use something else. I usually add a bit around once a month, streak it into my hair and go out in the sunlight to encourage it to lighten. I love the smell and it doesn't dry my hair out. If you layer it over time, you can build the effect into natural highlights. My hair does tend to go quite warm-toned with this product, but other products have the same effect so I think it may just be my hair. And it is very good value!
Tips: Add it to your hair on a day when your hair is already a bit dirty, because it can look a bit greasy while it's drying.
