A Lovely Powder

I was a bit skeptical to try the LA Colors Pressed Powder since the price was so ridiculously low! But I figured I might as well buy it and give it a go to see. What an amazing surprise! This is a gorgeous powder which is perfect for pale skin and also for setting foundation. I have been using this every morning when doing my makeup and to be honest have found it works just as well as my more expensive ($25+) powders. It sets foundation well, looks nice and matte on the skin, lasts all day. What more could you want? I'm also pretty sure that this company does not test on animals - yippee!

Tips: Apply using a big, fluffy brush to set foundation.

What a great find. There are more products in the range that I have used and been happy with.

Not bad for $5

The price of this is great, $5, and although it might not last the longest, its perfect for a short trip to the mall, or the supermarket. I never expected much for the price, but in a pinch, it works. I keep it in the car for when I leave the gym and just want a little bit of makeup on to cover redness. I'd buy it again to keep in my car.

Review

It's fine for the price, however, it doesn't get on the brush very easily so it takes a lot not to mention the pigmentation is terrible. Coverage isn't great but does reduce shine a bit. It's definitely not for me however if there was no other option and it was in reach, I wouldn't choose to go without anything.

Very cakey

I saw this for $5 at the Warehouse and decided to give it a try, I was hopeful that this would be a nice smooth powder that would give my face a slightly matte look to it.

Unfortunately I found that while I could find the right colour for my very pale skin, it just made my face look cakey and because it was quite a thick powder it didn't glide on smoothly so it would go on patchy.

I ended up taking the powder out and keeping the compact to put other stuff in.

Chalk face

I was in despreate need of an all over powder for my face and with limited funds at the time I picked this up at my local warehouse.

The La Colors range is an affordable makeup range, everything being $5 only. I was lucky and picked this up for $3.10 on special :)

The price really was the only thing it had going for it. I Used my blush brush for this product to apply it all over my face to mattify it. Sadly once I brushed my brush into the product it straight away came off chalky and didn't stick to the brush very well.

It covered my face well but it gave my face the cakey look and you coud really see the chalkyness of the powder.

I used this twice in hopes that maybe the second time round it may of been different but it was much the same.

I went to throw it away but actually dropped it the second time i used it and it smashed into pieces all over the bathroom floor.

I personally will not re purchase this product. maybe good for kids as play makeup?

You get what you pay for

I bought this one week when the funds were looking a bit unhealthy and I was needing a powder to wear to work everyday. Hey, how could I say no at $5, right? At this price, I really wasn't expecting much, and not much was exactly what I got. It was ok. It helped cover up a wee bit of the shine from my BB cream so that was good, but the coverage is pretty terrible and certainly isn't long lasting so definitely doesn't do what it says it does. The packaging is also average. By day two the litle mirror had fallen out of the lid, and by the end of the week the lid itself had broken off, leaving an exposed powder in my makeup drawer. Like I said though, I wasn't expecting much and I was very surprised the "Mosaic" bronser was actually quite good so sometimes it doesn't hurt to try things out.

Tips: If you are going to buy this, be sure to take it with you, you'll be reapplying it a lot.
