Setting powder

I tried to use this on its own as a foundation but it just didnt work with my dry skin which is fine, i stopped reaching for it for a while. but now I use it to set my loreal true match and it doesnt cake at all, gives a bit of extra coverage and extends the wear of my foundation so i am very happy with it

Flop!

Picked this up while travelling as I hadn't packed foundation. Love using the brand so thought this would work well in a pinch. While it's on the lower end for foundation, it's not the cheapest.

It has a wet/dewy feel when being applied... hence the aqua bit but it feels strange. The product didn't blend easily and caked quickly and overall didn't give much coverage.

I was stubborn and used it during my travels but just couldn't get over wet-like feel among the other issues.

The brush was nice and soft and I ended up using that on powder for a little bit to get some more use from the cost of the product.

The 'aqua' part of this product's name is right!

This product has managed to do something that I thought a powder would never be capable of, feeling wet. On application this powder feels extremely uncomfortable and wet on the skin. Once applied it "dries" as such and feels completely fine and works as a setting powder for the rest of your makeup, however I personally could never get used the the horrible wet feeling no matter how many times I used it. Considering the huge range of loose powders available there's just no need to settle for one that feels so gross when applied. I would not recommend this product.

Aqua Summer

I first used this product a couple of years ago and bought it as my first foundation. I have a lot of freckles and very good skin, no breakouts or anything so this foundation was only used as a minimal summer day out with friends foundation. Overall the coverage is good, keeps the redness down and does not bring out any oils or breakouts. Very good day makeup

Tips: moisturize and let dry before putting this on, a little blush always makes this come together more

Average Product

It does stay on, provides good coverage. It gives a glittery/shimmery look. I found it a bit weird but i guess that's why it's called 'aqua mineral'. The packaging is awful, comes with a shitty brush that I cannot use. You can take it with you in your bag. Half of the product comes out of the lid. When you dip the brush to it, you end up with too much powder on your brush.

Tips: I would recommend everyone to only use it in the winter. Feel like it melts into my skin in the summer, and looks like clay on my face :)

Terrible

I bought this product having heard positive reviews on mineral powder foundations in general. I didn't mind the bizarre wet feeling on application, but the application was uneven, zero coverage, and incredibly sparkly on top of that - as if I'd applied an illuminator all over my face. It was unwearable.

Tips: I have heard that it is passable as a powder over top of foundation, but this is not it's purpose. I suggest not purchasing it.

Waste of money

Not at all like the original Revlon colorstay mineral make up. It goes on wet which makes it really really hard to get an even coverage. It feels really weird on the skin and just doesn't look good at all. It was so weird that I took mine back to the shop as I thought the product was faulty. We opened another one to check but it was the same. Definitely not worth the money!

Tips: Don't buy it!

Straight up weird.

Feels wet when you apply it. Literally like you're applying powder with a wet brush! Streaky and patchy application, uncomfortable sensation, and not great at all. The original Revlon Mineral Powder was really good, but I think they may have discontinued it sadly! This stuff doesn't live up to any expectations.

So very true! After I used it I took it back to the shop to ask if there was something wrong with it. It didn't help the shop lady was really rude but yeah it ended up just being how the product was made. I was so gutted! The original was amazing!

Revlon ColourStay Aqua mineral make up

This product feels very strange when you apply it like a wet sensation. I used mine twice and that was it. It didn't have very good coverage and it was far too shimmery for me. It also made my skin quite dry

Tips: Use a foundation underneath for better coverage and avoid using it when going in the sun u less you like to shimmer a lot

A little strange...

I purchased this product when it first came out, being a long time Revlon customer I'm always keen to try out there new products.

The first thing I noticed about this powder is once you apply it, it's got a cool sensation through it which kind of feels wet. This kind of put me off to start with.

The coverage is good to begin with, buildable to a heavy finish if that's what you're after but after a while I've noticed it goes patchy. It's always rather drying on the skin, and I've used a number of powders so with having combination skin (dry most areas, oily around my nose/chin) I find when a product is overly dry my skin feels tight and very cakey. I've noticed that Revlon are starting to get rather expensive and this powder was very expensive for what it is.

Tips: I would recommend this for more oily skin types, then dry or combination as it can be very drying.
