Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Review

Yet another discontinued product worth keeping argh. Was great a smooth fresh glowing complexion. Such a shame!!!

I have a light skin tone and I have this in the shade ivory which is shade 10 I think. I have found this to be a good match for my skintone.

I have really liked using this foundation as it gives my skin good coverage without feeling too thick. It evens out my skin tone nicely while my page acne scars will still show through. The coverage is medium to high which is buildable.

This foundation is really easy to apply. The pump makes is easy to dispense product. I use one and a half pumps for my full face. The consistency is not too thick. I usually use a khabuki brush or beauty blender to apply.

I usually set my foundation with powder and I find it lasts all day without sliding. I have combination.l oily skin too. If I’m going out I’ll also use a setting spray.

Overall I have really liked this foundation and have already purchased another one as mine is empty.

I found this product provided me with great coverage. Didnt feel or look heavy and caked on. I like to apply a powder on top to help set it.

I work retail and do alot of heavy lifting, and I get grossly sweaty. I bought this foundation for around $7 off trademe which is ridiculously cheap. I bought shade cameo. First off I LOVE the pump bottle. Way easier to get product out, more hygenic and I don't end up with way more product than I need. I did two pumps and this covered my whole face. Coverage is alot better than expected, covered a couple spots I had on my chin very nicely, didn't cake up or look heavy which is great because I have dry skin and this is sometimes a problem for me. I found this to wear really well too, I did just over five hours of work, which in that time I worked up a sweat, and it didn't budge or melt on me one bit! Would definitely reuse this foundation as it's so cheap and looks amazing on.

This foundation gives good coverage and feels like on your skin not thick and cake. But I have oily skin so I have to reapply every couple of hours and translucent powder.

First tried this as a prize I won.. Really liked and brought it again. Need to apply with a blender as I felt it didn't go on well with a brush. Great coverage and didn't feel to heavy on, easy to find my colour match.Can be brought cheap online which is a bonus. I use this on a regular as a normal day foundation

I was a regular purchaser of Maybelline dream mousse foundation and decided to give the Better Skin foundation a try. I am so glad I did. This foundation applies, feels and looks way better than my previous product. It feels like a lighter consistency, easy to apply (best just with fingers) and a great result with a nice smooth feel to it. Very happy with this product.

First looking at the pump bottle the foundation comes in. Its a great size, you know you'll get a lot out of it. Nice big bold 'Better Skin' written on the label gives me high hopes of having clearer skin in a few months.

The foundation itself has spf in it which is great as I don't have to put any on underneath. It has a creamy light texture. I wasn't really happy with the shade selection as the closest shade to my skin tone was still too pink.

When applying the foundation I felt it applied nicely and easily with a beauty blender but not so well with a brush as the coverage was less, There's also no heavy cakey feel to it like you get with some foundations. I found I had problems with the foundation drying/setting. If I touched my face ever so lightly before applying my setting powder, I would partially smudge the foundation leaving a patch which was super annoying. I have patchy skin so the more coverage I can get, the better. This foundation has quite decent coverage. It hides my patchy skin tone but still lets my freckles slightly show through which I really like because I feel it still gives me a more natural look.

I found this foundation would be gone in patches after about 3-4 hours which isn't too bad for me personally as a fair few 'longwear' foundations I have tried have the same result for me.

Being sensitive skinned I am always worried when trying any new products. Im pleased to say this foundation had no bad effects on my skin. If anything, I've seen a slight difference in my skin tone. It looks more even.

I have been using this foundation for a couple months and Im still on the same bottle so there is quite a bit in there. Overall for the price I would say its ok. This is one of Maybellines better foundations and would be more above average for me if there were more shades available.

Maybelline is one of the cheaper makeup ranges sold in supermarkets pharmacy and farmers. I don't usually wear it as its not high quality but its still good value for money. The superstay better skin foundation was easy to apply blended well, made my skin feel nice but after an hour or two started to look shiny and was wearing or dripping off. I had to touch up. It was summer though. It still lasted the day and looked natural with a few touch ups but I'd avoid it if you have oily or combination skin

When I say budget I mean budget friendly as we really do not have "drugstore" here in NZ but this is my personal favourite foundation for all day coverage that seems to have a natural look with a soft matte effect that does last all day as they say.

The colour match for me was spot on, which I find really hard for these brands. It is a foundation that I call my everyday makeup for those no makeup looks.

This foundation doesn't sink into pores which mean that I dont end up with clogged pores so my skin remains healthy and good. There is no rub off from this foundation and it doesn't cake around those dry areas of my face.
