Such a good cream bronzer!

I picked two of these up on sale for $2.00 each, but they are very affordable at the full price anyway.

I have the shades Suede and Goddess. Suede is medium-toned, matte, and has a good amount of pigment. I use this for contouring.

Goddess is lighter in tone, shimmery, and not very pigmented. I use this as a cream eyeshadow, but it doesn't show up very well, as there's not a lot of pigment. It is good for a minimal makeup look, but I find the shade Suede a lot more versatile.

Definitely a great bronzer stick, I would recommend!

Super greasy

This product isn't for me it's far too oily. The pigment is too subtle and I feel it fades into the skin therefore hard to blend out evenly.

La girl stick bronzer

I really like this product. I use it two ways, to give my skin a natural bronze I dab some on my cheeks and then use my fingers to tap it in and blend over cheeks, nose and middle of my forehead. Can be used as a contour stick too, I draw my line just under my cheek bones and blend with my fingers for a nice easy contour, you can use a brush but I always make sure my hands are clean. Easy to blend and looks nice. Highly recommend

its ok

This contour stick does not look natural due to the glitter in it which is sad because it is an alright colour. It is pigmented but when it's blended it doesn't seem to stay on my face or doesn't show that I have it on other than the glitter residue. It does feel nice though as it is soft and kinda velvety. The price is ok but maybe a little too much for how it works. I don't think I'd ever buy this again unless another version came out with no glitter and with it being able to stay on instead of coming off onto the blending tool used.

Tips: I find using a silicone blender keeps the colour on your skin as the silicone doesn't absorb the product or hold the product on the blender like a regular beauty blender would. With this, care for how much is applied is needed as too much will look too harsh and very bad.

Lack Lustre

I purchased the bronzer in the shade 'Suede'. I didn't hate this product but I didn't love it...

PROS: It's a pretty shade but it is very orange-y brown so it's a product you would want to use tactically... (a.k.a. not too much otherwise you'll look like an ompa lompa). It's a nice creamy formula and it blends well.

CONS: As mentioned in the pros.. it blends well but the con is that it blends out to nearly nothing at all! Once blended you pretty much lose all pigment.. so you either leave it and don't look like you've applied anything or apply more and risk it looking blotchy or too un-natural... either way it's a waste of product.. I definitely prefer the LA Girl Pro.Conceal in toast for bronzing vs. this.

CONCLUSION: Although it's a very affordable product, I just don't think it's worth your time and money... there are better products for a similar cost out there.

Bronzed Beauty

I've been on the hunt for both the perfect bronzer and the perfect contouring products. The LA Girl Bronzer Velvet Stick promised both.

The contour stick is a twist up chubby stick that doesn't require sharpening. The body of the stick is the same colour as the shade inside and the lid is clear allowing you to see inside the product (something I always like in a product). This means you can easily select the right colour when buying.

You can either apply the product straight to the cheeks or apply to your fingers then your cheeks. The product then needs to be blended out with either a brush, beauty blender or your fingers. I found that lightly blending out the product was best, because although it goes on very pigmented it quickly blends out to almost nothing at all.

What I really love about this product is that I could draw the contour lines on my face really easily. Often when using a brush I put the line in slightly the wrong place, whereas these sticks I personally found easier to control. The shades weren't exactly what I wanted. but they were close enough to do. The product inside was also lovely, I could definitely feel ingredients like the shea butter.

For an LA Girl product, I thought these were starting to get a little more expensive, but they were still well priced and gave me another way to contour.

Tips: Blend with a soft hand.
