Fantastic for beginners.

I bought this when I did a large ELF haul a while ago, and have been using it in the last few weeks.

This isn't overly pigmented - especially in comparison to their bronzer/blush combo. This adds a light, rather subtle bronzed look to your skin. Be warned that because it is baked it does have a sheen but this creates a beautiful glow to your skin.

I don't like to use this as a contour as I don't like shimmery products to contour with but this is perfect to bronze your face with.

Because it isn't amazingly pigmented I think this is perfect for those just starting with bronzer. You don't need to worry about accidentally applying too much yet you can build this up if you want.

I also like to use this as an eyeshadow if I am in a hurry and running out the door. It creates a lovely, subtle wash to your eyes.

It definitely has talc in it but I am unsure about bismuth oxychloride.

Is there any talc or bismuth oxychloride in this?

Right colour, wrong texture

I purchased this bronzer in St Lucia. As I have fair skin, I find it hard to wear bronzer without it looking too orange. This is the perfect bronzer colour for me! It is a nice brown and perfect to wear just below my blush to contour my cheeks. Unfortunately, it is so baked I struggle to pick it up with a brush! When I use my finger to swatch there is no problem with the product but I just struggle to pick up the baked texture with a brush. For this reason, I would not repurchase.

Nice affordable bronzer

I found this was a 'nice' bronzer, nothing amazing or anything to rave about. The amount that you get is great for the price. And it is pretty pigmented so you have to use a light hand. Im not a huge fan of the shimmery satin finish but on days my skin is looking dull it does give me a bit of life to my face. But its no good for me as a contour as it does have the shimmer to it, but for a bronzed look it worked well.

Tips: Apply sparingly as its pretty pigmented, and it is buildable so start with a small amount

You must have a darker shade than me? St Lucia is not super pigmented. Which shade do you use?

Not bad

I purchased this is the shade St Lucia (The lightest shade available I think) and it's actually not a bad product (I had my reservations).

I have fair cool toned skin and find this bronzer doesn't appear overly orange or muddy on my skin. It does lean more to the orange side though.

I thought it would only be suitable as an all over bronzer as it has a satin finish (not shimmery but not matte either) but I tried a subtle contour with it and found it worked quite well, but don't think it would work for a defined contour as it would definitely be too orange on my fair skin. It is very light so only suitable for my fellow 'pasty white' girls out there.

It isn't very pigmented and I found I had to build it up a bit to get the natural glow I wanted but am happy with the subtle hint of colour it gives me and I find it less intimidating than really pigmented bronzers which you can easily overdo it with. I think this is great for right now, heading into the cooler months as I still want some colour but not that gorgeous summer glow that other bronzers give.

Since it is not super pigmented I think it would be a perfect bronzer for a beginner since it's pretty fail proof but build-able in terms of colour payoff and it's also super cheap.

I also tried this on my eyes as a crease and blending out colour and it worked great for that too (it was a bit harder to blend than your standard eye shadow). On the crease it was a warmer leaning light satin finish brown and I liked the effect.

It has a nice smooth feel on the skin and is a product I will continue to use.

Yeah I agree with you there! Not sure how the other shades are, have read some reviews and they sound a bit hit and miss (being orangey or too shimmery) and this one would only work for pale skin tones, but for under $5 it's worth a try :)

I was wondering how the baked bronzers would be, I have the baked highlighter and I find it gives a really subtle effect so you do have to build it up slightly but it seems to be better that way rather then overdoing it!
