Garnier BB Cream - Sensitive Review - Medium

My first experiences of this product have been fairly average. The packaging is nice: both in size and presentation, and the flip top cap makes it more than possible to carry this product in ones handbag. I didn't particularly like the sent as it smells very strongly like sunscreen even though the SPF rating is only 15+ compared to my regular Missha BB (rated SPF 45+). The coverage provided by this product is light, almost nonexistent even when set with a powder however it does indeed seem to be very gentle on skin as i observed no redness nor any itching or breakouts. I personally wouldn't buy this product however it might suit some people who don't require strong sun protection or have blemishes to cover.

My skin type is usually fine, however I am prone to stress breakouts and blotchiness on my skin due to my eczema. The Consistency of the bb cream was quite thick and creamy, which made it a bit hard to apply at first but once it was on my face it was much easier to spread out. I used my fingers to apply it to my face as this was the best way to get an even coverage. I tried using a brush a couple of times but I felt that the brush made it much harder to spread. I didn't detect any smell that was too overpowering, and there was no smell to the makeup on my face after wearing it a whole day at work. The coverage was amazing, it fully covered my face even the dark hair that I have on my chin. There is a matte finish to it which looks really nice. I work in a Deli Kitchen and this product lasted really well all day, in a hot and stressful environment! I didn't feel self concious about my face at all while wearing it. I think that this product has very good value for money! The packaging is very plain, however I think this suits the product. The BB Cream is meant to be a plain product that is used for evening out complexions etc so the packaging suits the purpose. BB Cream definitely does what it says on the packet, and I really enjoyed using it. As I said before, I really enjoyed wearing it and the easy application made it a very enjoyable product to use. I would 100% recommend this to a friend - in fact I would even recommend it to anyone I meet!

I have used this product every day for eight days. I consider my facial skin tone to be fair and I treat it as sensitive so only use products that I believe will be gentle. My first impression was it was quite thick out of the tube and I wasn't sure I liked the smell but it "melted" eaisly as I applied it with my finger tips and the fragrance disappeared quickly so neither was a concern. It was very easy to apply and covered well. I could layer a bit more if I needed extra coverage. I really liked the finished feel and coverage. My skin felt moisturised but not heavy and the look is very natural yet illuminated. Is it a miracle, that's a mighty big statement to make. I really like it and will continue to use it as my every day cover. I would even say I am likely to renew when it runs out. I think it offers very good value for money and deliverswhat it says it will. The SPF 15 is a great bonus.

I loved this tinted moisturizer it didn't dry out my skin like some other products have in the past it kept my skin hydrated all day. Covered my imperfections. Also didn't clump up under my eyes. Definetly worth what you pay for it. Thanks beauty review

In terms of delivering on its claims, this BB cream was a huge miss in my opinion. It takes "light coverage" to another level and after a couple of hours you can really notice patchy areas and places where it just seems to disappear completely which isn't attractive at all! Even on a good skin day you still want a wee bit of coverage - I can't be the only one who gets a rudolph nose in this cold weather! I really didn't find it made much of a difference to anything at all; skintone, redness or blemishes. The only pros are that it was hydrating and didn't make my skin break out horrendously which I appreciate. I received this to trial (Thanks BR!) but I must say I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it especially when there are others on the market that are magical in comparison.

I reviewed light for sensitive skin. I like the packaging and the tube makes it so quick & easy for application. Firstly it didn't match my skin tone, found it far too light and basically it was unnoticeable on so perhaps I need a medium shade. It was really thick & gluggy coming out of the tube and sticky to apply, the 3rd/4th time I ended up putting foundation over the top because I didn’t like the coverage, much prefer a full coverage so it was too light for my personal preference, I don’t think BB Cream is the ideal choice for me. And I also broke out on the chin & forehead areas after 2 days of use when I normally have good skin. I was hoping good things would come of this product but really don't like it.

This BB cream claims that it is the secret for instantly flawless skin. If by that it means full, flawless coverage, I would say that's a lie. The BB cream is nice to apply, it feels very light on the skin. The coverage however was on par with a very slightly tinted moisturiser.

Once it hit afternoon the cream started to feel oily on my skin and needed reapplying. At least the color was a perfect match to my skin so the fade wasn't too noticeable to anyone other then myself.

The next time I used it I put a MAC powder over the top of it and this had a much better result. The powder gave the coverage I needed, without having to wear a full foundation underneath like I usually do.

I would recommend to someone who already has flawless skin and doesn't need much coverage, but to anyone who is used to a full foundation, avoid this product.

So to begin with I think I need to make it very clear that I have horribly hot, red, flakey - Sensitive skin. Now lets begin... Day 1. WOWSA! I was so in love. It felt a little oily applying it to my face. But minutes later had dried to almost a powder like consistency. Even after an 8 hour shift in a hot stuffy air conditioned call centre I still looked exactly the same when I arrived home that night - BLISS a product that works and is affordable! Day 2. After being at work for a few hours my skin became little itchy and dry. After another hour of it frustrating me I had to call it quits and rinse my face. I noticed that my skin had gone very flakey with the BB cream still on. I was slightly deflated. On the 3rd day I decided on a breather. Day 4. Fantastic. Exact results as day 1 - no irritation, flawless over my heated red toned skin and this was using nothing except the Garnier BB Cream. So after continuing day on day off I was still Super impressed with the out come of this glorious little tube of magic. However, although it is for sensitive skin it still irritated mine on the second day, causing my skin to dry out majorly. For the amount of time that I require or feel the need to wear make up ( once maybe twice a week) this product is ideal. When it is on my face I feel - I feel pretty. Not red blotchy Amy or spotty Amy or even Flakey Amy ( she's the one I dislike the most! ). And lets not forget the comments that come along with it at work! They were fantastic. Would I buy this again - Yes! Did it do what it said it would... well... to the best ability such an affordable product could yes. I am really really greatful to have had the chance on the great BB trial and have truely enjoyed putting this product to the test. Thanks BR xx

I liked this product well enough after a week of use but the "miracle perfector" claim is unsurprisingly an exaggeration.

The consistency was light and easy to blend and I found the scent unobtrusive but vaguely reminiscent of sunscreen. This was not at all unpleasant though.

I am definitely prone to red and dry patches and this did an okay but not great job of minimising the appearance of my problem areas, even with two applications. I think the coverage just wasn't quite enough for my taste.

I found I liked this product a lot more when I used it as a primer under my foundation and powder. I applied it after my usual moisturiser as I didn't find it hydrating enough to use as a moisturiser substitute. It was nice and light and my face didn't feel greasy at any point of the day. I did feel like I didn't need to apply my foundation as heavily with this as a base and I didn't need any touch ups.

In summary, this was great supplementary product to my usual base makeup. I wouldn't call it a miracle product that could replace my moisturiser, sunscreen and foundation though as I prefer something more moisturising, with heavier coverage and a higher SPF.
