I really like NYX products and every few months I purchase a new beauty product just to see what they are like. One of the new products I purchased was the mechanical eye pencil in purple. It is a similar purple shade like the Cadbury logo. The pencil is lightweight and twisting the pencil up and down works very well.
It needs to be warmed up on the back of my hand before it is used. I do this by drawing small lines on the back of my hand just to get the pencil going. The formula is thick but also patchy so it needs to be reapplied until there is a consistent line.
Once applied properly it barely moves and it is waterproof and sweat proof.
This shade doesn't apply to my bottom waterline ,maybe because the formula is too thick and patchy? But it works OK right underneath the waterline (on skin) and on the top of the lash line.
Sadly I wont be repurchasing this range in the future.
I picked up a couple of these eye liners on sale from the online store Splashstore. I’m always on the look out for bright colours to add a pop of colour to my make up looks.
The pencil itself isn’t wood. It’s made of plastic . I got a real colour and gold colour . The formula of this pencil isn’t creamy it’s somewhat dry.
When I apply this to my eyes I notice that I’m able to get a great pop of colour. It seems to be short lived . It lasts for up to an hour and started to loose it’s colour.
I can think of other cheaper alternatives to this pencil . It was a let down in longevity. I can’t see myself repurchasing these in the near future.
