Love this, wonderfully pigmented, love love the gel formula.. And the super staying power.. Cute little glass pot.. Great applied with BB eyeliner brush, but I prefer an angle brush.. it would be the only one I would use, if not for the price point, so I mix it up with other brands but by far the best does-what--it-says-it-does, gel eyeliner ever!

Tips: Yeah fab splurge, totally won't be disappointed
I have been using this eyeliner for forever and already stop counting how many time i repurchase it. It wonderful for beginner as it is super easy to draw on your eyelid. The applicator that come with it also wonderful. I could create a very pigmented tight dark matt black eyeliner on my eyelid thanks to this!!
i will never go back to pencil ever again after using this product..... i never have to retouch throughout the day but with pencil id have done a few times, absolutely love this stuff
I love the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner! My step mum put me onto it a few years ago and although it is expense to set yourself up with a pot and brush, it is well worth it! This product lasts for years! So long as it doesn't dry out in that time. I will never go back to a pencil. This product has amazing staying power and for me is very easy to apply with one of the Bobbi Brown specific eyeliner brushes. Some may find it hard as you need a steady hand, but for the effect it gives, it is worth practising! I love the plain black one, but also the grey shimmer colour as it is that little bit more exciting!
Tips: I highly recommend teaming it with the Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush.
I purchased this 3 weeks and have been using it almost everyday since. It was definitely a splurge buy (it was my birthday and i decided to splurge so i brought a whole heap of high end makep) It was creamy easy to use. I found when trying to apply it over matte or sating eyeshadow it was ok but when i did it over a pigment or glitter it lost pigmentation, i had to build it up. I have oily skin and I think it makes it smuge, I have swatched this on my hand and it wount budge at all, but on my eye it definitly smudges so im going to attribute that to my oily skin, thats my only problem with this product, that and the price which is steep. maybe if i got my oily skin under control i would love it. finger crossed
This is the BEST eyeliner I have ever used. It does exactly what it says it does!
The Gel Eyeliner is my favorite and no other liquid or gel liner can replace it!
It really does give you the look of liquid liner. I find it to be very easy to glide on with the Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush, I can do a very precise line without feathering. I sometimes use the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Brush, it gives me a nice fine line just using the tip of the brush. I have also used the tip of a lip brush (synthetic bristle) and used it as an eyeliner brush if I want a superfine line, works very well for me.
What I love about the Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner is that it doesn't smudge and I can't say this about any other gel eyeliners I have used before. I make sure the eyeliner has set before I open my eyes, normally I would give it about 30 seconds to dry.
I have very oily eyelids and most eyeliners will smudge by midday on me and would transfer under my eyes which really annoys me. Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner can last me from morning till evening without the need to touch up. I know this because I occasionally go out for drinks on Friday nights straight after work till past midnight and the liner is still in place!
For me, no other eyeliner can replace Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner!
Tips: I sometimes also use the gel liner to do smoky eyes, i would dab a few dots of the liner with eyeliner brush then with a synthetic eye shadow brush very quickly smudge and blend it in the outer corner of my eyes, then I layer eye shadow over it, making sure to blend the eye shadow in with the eyeliner just before it sets, so you have to work quickly!
This was my favourite liner for a long time. I loved the way it glided on easily and stayed on all day/night however the last pot I bought I seemed to have trouble with it transferring to the crease in my eyelid (maybe as it was applied over shadow or maybe it was a dud batch?). I used the Bobbi Brown fine liner brush to apply an everyday look but there are others on the market. The colour was good (I used black) but not the most solid colour I've encountered and I have actually more recently preferred liquid liners. The pot it comes in allows you to use every last bit of it.
Tips: Use a liner brush to apply, alter brush width for a thicker line.
My Mum has three of these and I am continuously borrowing them! There is so many good shades and they are so pigmented, they stay all day and are smudge proof. They are quite pricey but you don't need much product so it lasts for ages!
This eyeliner is fairly good in its own right, but I just don't feel it stacks up to others that are available, especially at that price point.
It's easier to use than liquid, which is great, but I find it not as easy as some other gels/creams (it just seems less smooth) and MUCH harder to get a sharp line with, and then I find that while its staying power is pretty good for the most part, it's not as good as my Stila Smudge Pot and is prone to a little bit of fallout and smudging.
While I won't be buying it again because I just don't feel it's worth the price, I will at least be able to use it up because I've found it's really good at staying put on my waterline for when I'm doing dark smokey looks (and at least then a bit of smudging and fallout isn't noticeable!).
Tips: Like any gel or cream, store it upside down to minimise the amount that it dries out (credit to the Bobbi Brown ladies for teaching me this trick when I bought it!).
Also, for cream and gel liners to be any good you really need the right brush - I can't stress enough that a good, fine liner brush is critical. I prefer the angled brushes, personally.
I've tried a couple of gel pot eyeliners (one from maybelline, one a japanese brand) and this one wins hands down. This stays all day, and does not budge or smudge out at the corners as the other brands do. I did see old reviews that it can dry out but have not experienced it so far. Will update this review in time for that. But for now I am loving this!
