Australis Intense Liquid Eyeliner Review

I tried this product while looking for a staple but cheap liquid eyeliner. I was not impressed with how watery it was. It made it very hard to get a solid colour, making the eyeliner look patchy. The colour was also hard to get it looking BLACK - the pay off was a sort of grey colour. The applicator on the other hand is one of my favourite kind to apply eyeliner, I just wish the product wasn't so thin and streaky.

I received this product free with a in store promotion. I usually use the Revlon or Mac version of this product. First trying it it was very watery and liquidy. I have used it occasionally but do prefer my other brands.

I found this to be super watery so the dry time was ridiculous (whatever you do don't open your eye up too quickly or you'll have a lovely mess on your gorgeously applied eye makeup)! Super disappointed, Avon one is miles better!

I quite like this eyeliner by Australis - it's effective, looks good, and lasts pretty well.

The applicator for this product is nice and thin, which makes it easy to make fine lines. I usually just go for a simple line along my lashes to darken the look of my mascara. It dries quickly, and although it isn't super black it can be easily built up in no time at all. This liner lasts well throughout the day, and only ever smudges if I've been laughing too hard with friends! It's super easy to remove at the end of the day, which is great because I hate having to scrub at my eyes to remove a product.

I also love this liner because it is bunny friendly! Australis does not test on animals, which is super great, and I love supporting them for this reason.

Liquid eyeliners are generally a little difficult for me to use as they require concentration when applying this. But I took up this challenge and bought one from Farmers.

The product is very dark in colour, a gorgeous deep black shade. It also comes with an applicator which you can use when you twist open the eyeliner - it is thick and not very pointy. The formula does dry fairly quick and is long-wear.

All I can say is there some good days and some bad days when using this product. On the good days I get a beautiful look from using this product - smudge free. On the bad days, I use too much product and it smudges all over the eyelid or around the eye area (clumsy hands!) and is difficult to get off.

It is a real challenge.

Just before Christmas was here I had used up all of my liquid liner, knowing everything would be closed for Christmas I headed to my closest chemist to repurchase a liquid liner. To my sadness my regular liquid liner was sold out so I had to look for other alternatives, I searched around the Chemist and spotted the Australis Intense liquid liner, I remembered this being featured a few times on their Instagram account so I went ahead and purchased it.

The applicator is short and pointy, the handle fits beautifully in my hand and gives great control but I found the formula hard to work with. It was very watery and drying time was at least 20 seconds per layer. I have hooded eyes and I find it hard having to half close my eyes for a long amount of time. Because of the watery formula the layers are very light, I need 3 layers to get a strong black line with no patches.

Wearing time is great for the first few hours, after that it fades and starts to flake on the edges of the liner.

I tried to give this liquid liner a fair trial but took too much time to achieve a perfect wing. I wont be using this liquid liner unless I have to.

I wont be repurchasing this again.

I got this when i was over on holiday in Aussie for about $7. I can easily say its probably the best eyeliner i have ever owned!

It looks like every other eyeliner you can buy, and the applicator is nice and thick. The applicator is sponge like, and makes it very easy to apply the product.

The product goes on dark, which is what i love. Usually with other products, you have to go over and over to get the colour nice and dark.

I would not say it very great when it comes to lasting long. I would say about 2-4 hours it looks great, then after that it does start to fade, but nothing a touch up wont fix.

Over all i love this product, it is great for cats eyes, and it is cheap here in NZ too. I have bought this product 3 times since i came back from Australia, its well worth it!

I got this from Farmers as a free gift with purchase and was giving it a go. It's in a small, easy to use container with a spongetip applicator. I found that the product is not very easy to apply if you want nice lines, the precision of the line isn't very smooth, and that the colour of the black itself is quite watery and fadey. You can absolutely get better stuff at better prices
