Maybelline Brow Pencil Blonde

This brow pencil is a great "drugstore" brand alternative to some of the higher end versions Colour wise there are around 5 shades to chose from with blonde being the right taupe ash shade for my brow match.

With a spool at one end and the retractable pencil at the other, the spool is easy to use and grooms the brows nicely. The crayon type pencil is waxy but a little on the dry side which made it a little trickey to use with precision leaving the brows looking a sloppy and needing a lot of concealer to clean up the edges.

However, this is very good for long wear and for colour matching.

I really wanted to like these pencil but something is not quite right. I found it colorant didn't last long enoug and you needed a fair amount to even see it, i was forever sharpening the damn thing, which means it was used really quickly. The brush is quite long and can be cumbersome, not great when your dealing with something as delicate as eyebrows. It would have been better if the lid had a built in pencil sharpener, since your constantly needing one!

I love brows! Along with the rest of the world I am joining in on this trend. I went such a long time without doing anything too them that I look back on the pictures of myself in my younger years and wish I had realised that my face was missing brows. I have incredibly pale blonde brows so I think I look quite funny before I fill them in each day. I was happy to see this product come in blonde which is perfect for me, it is a nice ashy darker brown which I found good for my skin tone.

The packaging is pretty simple at first glance but I actually think it is really smart. There is the pencil at one end and the spoolie at the other. I find the spoolie did the trick, nothing fancy but I don't know how they could improve it. The genius part of this packaging it that the lids on both sides are clear. With my expensive Hourglass brow pencil the lids are opaque so you never know which end you are opening, no problem with this one. I do find as the product is quite creamy you will end up having to sharpen this quite often, I think I might run out of this quite quickly.

Now the product itself is quite awesome. The pencil is really waxy so you can quite lightly fill in your brows for a natural look. The waxy-ness also means that I didn't feel like I needed anything else to keep them in place all day. This means it was my number one product to take on holiday with me as it does two things at once for me. I do think the name 'precise' is a wee bit false as if you really want to create a precise look with this you would need to keep it fully sharpened at all times as it can be quite thick when it gets blunter. I don't mind though as I find it creates quite a natural easy everyday look quite easily.

For me this is my favourite brow pencil that I have tried in a really long time! As a everyday product if makes doing your brows really simple and I have added this to my everyday products.

Love this pencil but I do find you use a lot of the product on each aplication, only lasted about 3 weeks of every day use which was a big let down. The brush is great to blend and is my favorite so far, easy to clean as well as has small tips. Lasts all day but I just wish it was easier to sharpen and lasted longer. I paid $8 new on trademe, so worth the price.

I have been trying to find the right eyebrow pencil which is proving to be a bit challenging.

I decided to give this one a shot. It goes on rather thick, almost like a lipstick which I wasn't too keen on, although it does last all day which is great compared to others I have tried. I love the spoolie brush on the end which helps to work it in a shape the brows, giving it a more natural look. It is very hard to sharpen which might see you sharpening it quite a few times to get the desired sharpness and because of the texture the pencil itself wears down fast and you'll find yourself having to replace it quite often.

This product is my absolute favorite eyebrow pencil ever for the following reasons.

The colour range allowed me to find a natural looking colour that blended more with my light eyebrows and didn't look ridiculous.

The other thing I love about this product is the handy eyebrow brush attached to it, this little guy will become your best friend when you're doing your eyebrows.

I love the range of looks I am able to get with this product, from natural to dramatic but elegant. Highly recommended.

I use the Maybelline Brow pencil almost daily to slightly darken my blonde eyebrows. I find the brush great for preparing the brows, and the wax formula great for holding the hairs in place. I like to colour in my eyebrows lightly, if applied too much I go over the brows with the brush to make them a little lighter. I find the shade is perfect for me as I am a natural blonde, and can be applied light, or darker depending on how hard you press, and what result you are after.

This product is pretty good, I use it most of the time with my daily makeup routine. Would recommend using the brush after filling in your brows as it does look more natural. (I know people who don't use the brushes) The brush is quite nice too, even just to use to put your brows in place, would buy this product again!

The colour is perfect to match my hair. It's hard to come across a good blonde pencil but this one was great. When both my mother and I came to sharpen it, we were a little concerned, most plastic pencils have a roller system so we were expecting that. This one you actually sharpen with a sharpener. It clogged my sharpener and didn't sharpen very well anyhow. It was very soft, and I like to have my pencil on quite a point - so this wasn't ideal.

I purchased this as it's one of the few blonde brow pencils that has an ashy base as opposed to a warm base. However, it was way too waxy and difficult to work with. The formula was too hard to transfer easily onto my brows and I would have to press really hard to get good colour payoff. The packaging is also a real let down(I do however like that it has a spoolie at one end) the actual pencil part isn't your usual wooden pencil but instead a weird plastic which is really difficult to sharpen. I wouldn't repurchase as I've discovered brow products that work better for me.
