Thin Lizzy

This all in one product for me kind of misses the mark. In one way its too light so you keep building it up until you go one brush too far and you end up with a kind of tango face. I have followed the routine provided on the DVD and from what sales people stated when I brought it at a home and garden show in Blenheim. Its just not working as an all in one for me, I ended up using as just a bronzer on top of my normal foundation or BB cream

Great as bronzer

Love using thin lizzy as a bronzer, contouring or face framer but would not use it as an over all coverage powder! Can sometimes be too light or too dark.

Tips: Use it as a bronzer or to contour! amazing results when you contour right :)

It's a bronzer. Nothing else.

This was one of the first products I had ever bought when I first started wearing makeup. Back then, it seemed like a great product, as it was my only product. As I developed my collection, Thin Lizzy was less used. It's not suitable for anything other than bronzer in my opinion. Because it is not matte, it can't be used as a proper contour as shadows shouldn't reflect light. The colour shade choices of Light and Dark should really just be an overall colour, as the Dark is far too orange, and nobody should use it unless they want to look like a Cheeto. I think it is a lovely bronzer, but I don't think it is useful for anything else, really. I personally wouldn't use it again because it did break out my skin a bit, and therefore I knew it was clogging it more than my other bronzers.

I break out really bad every time I use it and it really clogs and emphasizes my pores. Definitely not worth $50.

Great for bronzer but not covering flaws

I have mixed feelings about this product and only because it is misleading in some of its information as to what it does. It states that it is a bronzer, which it definitely is, and a very good one at that, however it also states and shows on adverts that it gives good coverage for flaws. Sadly for me, it did not cover my flaws. I believe it is misleading in regards to how much it can cover. If you do not have acne or scarring, then yes, this probably is great coverage but for those with acne scarring or any noticeable flaws, it doesn't. I believe only concealer and a good foundation can do that.

Tips: The more you apply, the darker you become, so make sure you don't over apply if you only want a light tan. Comes in Light, Medium and Dark.

Tacky thin Lizzys

I personally just feel that this product feels tight and heavy, and is way too orange. It is also slightly overpriced. The infomercials say that it suits all skin tones, but I certainly do not believe it suits me.

Great basic

I dont generally wear foundation so this is an easy product to have around, for when I do want to glam up a bit. Very easy to apply ( if I can do it anyone can!) and easy to remove, case is easy to store and lasts for ages.

Tips: Dont drop it in the bathroom sink, it will crack and make a huuuuuge mess!!

Thin Lizzy

I guess its good for you if you're on a budget, but the brush isn't the best as it looses a lot of bristles and the power goes orange quite quickly so a little goes a long way.

Tips: It is important to blend as it shows obvious lines (;

Great if you want to look like an oompa loompa!

This product was soooo not made for my freckly complexion! No matter how little I applied, it would look so orange on me. I would never buy this again or recommend it to anyone with lighter skin. Possibly if you are more olive toned, then this could work great for you.

Overall, I think the price is actually really reasonable, they usually do a buy one get one free deal which means you get 4 bronzers plus lip glosses and eyeliner pencils. The tin it comes with is actually quite nice too! If they made a better colour for lighter skin then I reckon this could be such a great product.

Anyone not tried this?

This was one of my first make up items. It seemed ok at the time if dealt with with a light hand. I doubt it would suit light skin tones. I still remember touching my face and seeing it on my fingers! Not something I'd purchase now but was acceptable when I was a teenager!

Not too bad, but not worth the price

This is one of the first types of coverage I ever used (as I wouldn't called it a foundation). It was very light on the skin and gave ok coverage. It was unable to cover up my acne scars as it showed on the adverts. The coverage looked like a bronzer and though I used the light shade it was too dark for my fair skin. I tried using it as an eyeshadow as advertised, but was unable to build it up enough. I didn't try the lip gloss with it because the lip gloss was too sticky for my liking. However, overall if you have a tan, or like to look bronzed, it is pretty nice light coverage, but I would only use it for that. For the price, I would try a different foundation or BB Cream for something that works better for my skin.

Tips: My sister-in-law bought the dark because her skin is darker, and it was too dark. Always try it before you buy, but chances are the light shade will work for you.
