Superb scrub

L’Oréal is a brand I’ve used and loved many items in the past, so I was very exciting to be part of trialing the new range of sugar scrubs.

I really like the style of the container, dark brown with a different colored top- simple and sleek. Although I accidentally dropped it and part of the packaging broke.

My skin can be rather dry and uneven, so this scrub was a welcome for my skin.

The smell is lovely, quite subtle but smelling of cocoa. The texture is good - the granules just fine enough to be comfortable, but still do a good job of exfoliating my face. My skin can be rather sensitive, but this was gentle and no problems at all.

My skin did feel good and this scrub seemed to improve the texture, as there weren’t so many dry patches. My skin feels moisturized and soft after using this. It’s a really great scrub and it’s quickly become part of my skincare routine.

L'Oréal Paris Sugar Scrubs Nourishing Face Scrub

Packaging - I was quite pleased to see L'Oreal have aligned this with the rest of the range. The glass jar looks nice.

Texture - The scrub was the right consistency to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. I enjoyed the texture as it felt smooth and not abrasive on the skin, like some other scrubs. The sugar granules are quite fine & refined.

Fragrance - pleasant

Application - It was easy to apply. I applied it on dry skin and then added some warm water and massaged onto the face. The scrub exfoliated the skin well and was easy to massage onto the skin.

Result - OMG....it is a magical product. I was quite pleased with the result as my skin felt smooth, soft and refreshed after using the scrub. My skin instantly looked clearer and a little brighter after one use and after using a few times looked radiant with a nice glow. I will definitely continue to use this product.

The best part - With the face looking so radiant, one can get away without using any foundation or BB cream.

Sugar Scrub gets a big thumbs up!

I haven't tried too many sugar scrubs in the past so was excited to be selected for this trial. I wasn't disappointed. The scrub comes in a glass.jar that is attractive enough to look great on a dresser or vanity. It is brown in colour which made it easy to check coverage on my face. The instructions tell you to apply, then use a little warm water to melt the sugar scrub while massaging it in. This worked well and left my skin feeling soft. I also tried to rub it in and then add the water- this have even more amazing results. One area in particular that showed amazing results was my lips - just don't be fooled by the delicious scent as it doesn't taste nice at all! I will buy this when I finish the pot, but It may take a while as you don't need to use much at a time.

Tips: It may smell good enough to eat but don't!

Impressed

I was excited to get selected to do this trial. I was in need of a new facial scrub as my Dermalogica one had run out and I hadn’t decided what I wanted to try next. I am quite picky with face scrubs so I was interested to see how this would go - especially for such a reasonable price.

The packaging is quite nice - although in line with the reasonable price. It has a glass jar with a plastic lid that fits securely. A bit heavy to travel with but nice on the bathroom shelf all the same.

The product itself smells quite nice, a bit like cocoa butter really. Now admittedly the first time I used this I didn’t read the instructions. Once I had cleansed my face in the shower I grabbed a dollop of this and massaged it in my face. It made me think that it wasn’t very “scrubby” and a bit crap. It washed off well, but I didn’t really think much of it. However after reading the instructions I realised that I was meant to use it on dry skin. So next time I did that and I was seriously impressed with the exfoliating power.

Now the thing that I love about this the most is the fact it doesn’t irritate my sometimes sensitive but always dry skin. It leaves it smooth but not tight and dry feeling. This is something I struggle to find in a scrub as they often have foaming or stripping qualities to them - especially in physical exfoliants.

Overall I really enjoyed this and will consider purchasing again when it runs out.

Smooooooth skin

This product surprised me as I'm not usually into face washes/masks that I really have to rub into my skin.

The packaging is nice but nothing special. I do like the glass jar but it makes it quite heavy so it's not too great for travelling.

I find it hard to describe the smell. It honestly reminds me of the smell of hairdressers when they put the moisturizing product in your hair at the end..... but in the best way!

I find I only need a small amount as it says and it is enough for my whole face. You put the product on to dry skin which I did find weird at first but it works. Once it is rubbed all over you add warm water and then rub in circular motions until all of the sugar is disolved. I. Love. This. Bit. I find it so relaxing and calming. It probably takes about a minute for it all to dissolve and it then feels like a light moisturiser. It washes off easily with a splash of water or two.

And man oh man the after feeling is seriously so nice. Like they say, it really does leave my skin feel baby soft! I haven't noticed any radical changes over the week but I love what it does at the time.

I have very dry sensitive skin and have had no reactions either which is awesome.

I love this product and probably will repurchase. I think it will last me a long time too!

L'Oréal Paris Nourishing Face Sugar Scrub

Its true! This product definitely smells divine. My daughter said I smell like when we are on holiday :). As for the packaging, its cute and practical in a easy to access tub. I personally think it not only feels premium, but also looks the part too. The sugar scrub feels high-end and luxuriant and I especially love how it has a "scrub" texture but the end result is silky and creamy, like I just applied a yogurt mask on my face. Even after first use my skin started feeling soft, clean and nourished and by the end of week one, I definitely felt a glow and change in appearance and a noticeable difference in dryness. Which, can be attributed to the goodness of coconut oil and cocoa butter. I've also used the scrub on my lips and they helped exfoliating the dead & dry skin, resulting in softer, smoother lips. After using it for over two weeks now, I do agree my skin feels and looks healthier with a healthy glow and silky texture. I love how L'Oreal is readily available at leading supermarkets and retail outlets so I will be using this product again.

Sugar, Sugar

I was really excited to try the L'Oréal Paris Sugar Scrubs Nourishing Face Scrub that promises baby soft skin with the help of three sugars and cocoa butter. I really like the packaging, the squarish shape of the container, and the packaging size. The product itself is quite thick in texture and initially I was unsure how much to use. For application, it recommends to mix with water, but I found it easier to apply to my face first with slightly wet hand, and then add a small amount of water when spreading it, which works quote well in shower. The sugar resolves relatively fast (depending on how much water you use), and the smell is very pleasant. I found it reasonably hard to remove after application. Even you wash it off, it still feels like there is some left on your skin. It definitely has a smoothing, softening effect, and skin looks more even and radiant after a few applications. I think using it every second day is maybe a bit of an overkill, I would consider usage twice a week.

Tips: Use while in the shower.

L'Oréal Paris Sugar Scrubs Nourishing Face Scrub

Initially I thought rubbing an abrasive sugar solution on dry skin might be a bit harsh. Despite this, the product went on easily and was simple to apply with dry fingers over my face. I then added warm water and massaged my face and the rinsed with warm water. From the first time I used it, I noticed that my face felt softer and smoother. A bonus was that it could be used on lips at the same time as an exfoliant and I was pleased with these results too. The scrub is a milky chocolate brown colour and has quite a pleasant strong cocoa/chocolate smell. The smell doesn't linger long after the product is washed off. There's 50ml in the square glass jar with plastic top and this will last ages. The jar itself is fairly plain with the name on the front and a few symbols on the back label. The cardboard pack that it came in is quite detailed and informative about the sugars, cocoa butter, coconut oil and cocoa grains. I think it is worth the $19.99 price and would buy it again. My face is smoother and looks healthier with a more even surface and colour.

Tips: You don't need to use much of the scrub to see results so start with a small amount.

Sugar Scrub

so please to get picked to review this, i have very sensitive skin so have been trying products to find ones that work for me, and this one did, i was pleasantly surprised! upon receiving in the mail, i opened it right away, took a sniff (as you do) and well i wasn't a huge fan of the smell, its wasn't terrible but wasn't great either. i picked a time at night to do it just in case i had a reaction (sensitive skin) rubbing it on was a little harder than i thought it would be, it was a little thicker, and less smooth than i was expecting, but didn't have an issues spreading it around. but i was thinking that it was going to take ages to get the sugar to melt as per the instructions. so its rubbed on my face, running the tap for warm water, get that on my hands and start rubbing in circles (as per the instructions) and dam, the sugar melted quiet quick, only took a total of maybe 3 mins to rub it around. then wipe it off with a warm cloth. easy as! after i had some reservations, my skin was a bit sensitive to touch, bit tight, but that didn't last long, and my face felt amazing for a few days after doing it! so soft. will be happy to use this again and again!

Tips: first time trying, use it when you don't have anywhere to go right after, to let the skin settle.

L'Oréal Paris Sugar Nourishing Face Scrub

Beautifully brown and gold box with a plastic corner window arrived – with a great container that matched the name of the product.

The container was really easy to open – even when in the shower, and sealed perfectly to go in my travel bag without wondering if it was going to leak. I loved the fine crystal buttery cream that is really easy spreadable over my face and lips. It melted onto my skin when using little circle movements.

It gently buffed away grime and stickiness from my face and dry lips, while definitely moisturizing at the same time – my skin is very dull at present caused by the 9 hour day spend in a air-conditioned office. The product has a bit of a cocoa butter and coffee smell, not overwhelming, which I really liked.

Little bit of a wake up remedy when used n the morning, which all of us need. You don’t need to use much of the product and a little bit of a scoop motion with my fingers from the wide mouth container really went a long way.

Lately I have stopped wearing makeup to work – just to give my face a bit of a rest during this hot humid days we have been experiencing – and found that days after using the product it felt as if it had softened and smoothed my skin. The longer I have been using it – only a week in and I definitaly feel my skin be softer and more subtle. It is a really esy way to nourish my skin without having to spend hours, which I don’t have, to look after my skin.

I think the scrub has done exactly what it claims to do – it very gently exfoliated and clean my skin while leaving it soft moisturized and left me with a unique facial cleansing experience. Definitely worth spending the money - pretty sure it will last more than a month using 3 times a week and very easy affordable.

Tips: Don't expect sandpaper feeling on your face - it is extremely soft and fine - use on clean dry face and mix with warm water and massage onto your skin. A little bit goes far, don't try and use to much in one go.
