I love a good matte lip. I do. I mean, I don't love the constant lip scrubbing and balm applying I have to do to achieve a flawless matte lip, but it's worth it for the safistication, chicness and stayability that a matte lip provides. BUT. I have to admit I was super stoked when the lip look du jour did a 180 recently.

I think I'm still more into lipstick than gloss. I have worn gloss a bit but I prefer lipstick, the coverage and it's longer wearing. I will probably dab some gloss on top of my lipstick though especially since I have some glosses I need to use up. But yes I definitely prefer a matte lip especially since I put a lot shimmer shadow on my lids to make my eyes pop and on the inner corners and then a bit of highlight on the cheek bones a matte lip adds a bit of balance in my opinion to my makeup look.

I am not really much of a fan of the gloss look on me personally as I prefer more of a semi - matte finish from a lip stick or lip balm in more natural shades or a toned down shade of pink.

Yeah I still can't fully embrace the gloss....I find it just gets everywhere & i know I will be shot for saying it, but I prefer it on younger women

Love love love gloss! I certainly have quite a few of them too, and when in doubt, just throw on a clear gloss over a not so glossy lipstick. Still have two of my NYX butter glosses too.

I like the look of gloss but don't like the stickyness so mostly I just stick with lipbalm or liquid lipstick/lipstick.

I'm a big fan of a nice gloss, they really have a part to play for certain occasions. However, I usually wear a matt for work, but sometimes find them a bit drying and a bit of gloss over the top looks great and feels a lot better.

I absolutely love the NYX Butter Glosses, I've built up quite the collection of these! I love how they smell and they are so great to have in my handbag! I'm not usually a big gloss wearer and will usually just go for a creamier lippy instead.

Oooooh I am gloss girl, as long as its not that sticky gloss. I hate that especially when you have long thick hair like me and it somehow always seems to slap onto my lips and oh for goodness sake how annoying is that ha ha ha. I am eyeing up the Jeffree Star Du Jour collaboration and have seen youtube videos on it and it is amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I love my matte finish, especially the long staying power, I find glossy colours have to be reapplied so often - I’d love to find one that hangs around a bit longer!
