What do you think of the super-short fringe?

Fringes. Bangs. Whatever you call them, they're a powerful style statement.

From soft, feathered fringes, to thick, full and blunt, the fringe is often underestimated in it's ability to flatter your face shape and make you look and feel like a new woman.  The right fringe is as empowering as the right fragrance or pair of heels.

And then of course their is the irrational fear of fringes - you'll know if you suffer from this, because you go all sweaty just thinking about hiding your forehead.  If you're a bit iffy about bangs, we don't think this latest trend is going to reassure you!

The super-short fringe is barely there - it sits inches above your eyebrows (so pretty much your hairline) and you get extra kudos if its a) uneven and b) a little bit wonky.

Beyonce was pictured sporting the look a couple of weeks ago (she's now rocking a bob, oh to be a Diva and chop and change so often!).  Now Queen Bey's fringe is suspected to be a winge, or a fringe-wig.  Well come on they're not going to tell Mrs Carter she's wearing a toupee right?

Now by no means is the super-short fringe a new trend, Rooney Mara sports a short blunt fringe often and is famous for her Girl With The Dragon Tattoo punk do.  Her bleached brows make it look even higher!

What do you think of the super-short fringe trend?  Has Beyonce convinced you it's stylish, or does it bring back horrors of your mum cutting your fringe?  Do you rock a super-short fringe?  Any tips for making it work?

I love beyonce, but no. I'm not a fan of this look and it just makes your forehead look too big.

Sorry, but that's terrible :(

To do this, you have to have your fringe starting high & I dont like too much of my hair being assigned to fringe - it's just too thick. I'm not too bothered about how long my fringe is as long as its not too thick. My hair grows fast, so any over cutting doesnt last long.

I am a fan of fringes, had one for years (a long one), but I think short fringes are not flattering on most people. Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber, OK but not on gorgeous women!

I think it really depends on your face shape and style. I really like it on Rooney Mara in GWTDT but not such a fan of it on Beyoncé...

6th November, 2014

I think it only suits certain people.

6th November, 2014

It really isnt for me...and I feel it totally depends on the shape of your face.

I think it's cute on some, if you have the beautiful cheekbones I think it looks so pretty.

The initial picture on the beauty poll pic looks good. But in my opinion I don't think it would suit most people and if I don't look good in a full fringe I would rock a short one. It's nice that it's low maintenance but the point of having a fringe is to look good. And you're right BR Beyonce's fringe really does look like she has a wig on.

Very french. Kind of channeling Audrey.

6th November, 2014

Nope, I don't think many people suit this look - me included. I feel like it'd just emphasize my small forehead. Plus, my hair looked like this in year 6 when my mum cut it for me and that just brings back horrible cringe-worthy memories.

6th November, 2014

This would look absolutely ridiculous on me but I've seen it on some women who rock it.

6th November, 2014

I think it suits some people, it reminds me of Jim careys fringe in dumb and dumber though lol

6th November, 2014

Not a fan. If I wanted that much of my forehead on display I'd pin my bangs up!

6th November, 2014

Only looks good on a very few people. You have to have the right shaped face and size of forehead along with an attitude to carry it off. Get it wrong and it looks like you let a small child "cut your hair".
