What do you think of the chevron nail trend?

Chevrons are huge right now.  From clothing, to decor, to pary supplies, to my new chevron laundry hamper, everything is all about those zig zag lines.  Including nail art.

From dazzling chevron nail wraps, to painstakingly hand painted designs, no gal can consider herself a nail art-inista without having rocked the chevs at least once.  A month.

There are so many ways to incorporate chevrons in to your nail look.  Thick stripes. Thin stripes.  A mind-boggling combination of thick and thin stripes.  Infinite colour combination to compliment or contrast.   A single feature nail.  A full hand of waves.  My favourite is the one pictured at the top of this article - a chevron nail to compliment a plain set of nails, with a glitzy ring finger.

But what about you?  Do you love the chevron trend or are you not so fussed?  Have you mastered the chevvy yet, and how do you wear yours?

I really like this look , or any nail art (mostly) as I think it enhances and shows a personality of he person wearing it. I really like the black and natural tone look on the left about middle as it is ne that stands out for effect but is ot an in your face one. I will be trying some different styles now, Thanks again for more ideas.

I have just recently purchased the chevron wand (I think that is what it is called) and a magnetic nail polish that goes with it from Avon for my bridesmaids and flower girls. I am also considering doing my nails as well but not sure yet. Really looking forward to the results.

I do like this look, there are so many options to play with, get the creative juices flowing, my daughter is the artist in our home and she practices on my nails, I can do one hand but not the other. I must show her these ideas :)

I'm not a fan of this myself, as I prefer plain nails. But it can look cute on other ladies.

I like some it if it's not too busy. I like looking at it on other people but don't think I'd wear it myself.

I think they look great! Adds a little spunk without looking over the top if they're done right. Personally I would'nt wear the rainbow ones but I looooove the blue/silver essie ones and the yellow and black ones at the top left!

It's really cute and effective, I haven't tried it, I don't wear nail polish anyway it's rare if I wear any lol

I love nail art. Chevron design are really popular now too. I love doing zig zags on my ring finger as a feature nail. My lines always start out thin and then as they go wonky they become thick. I've found it helps to start with a line in the middle of your nail, as opposed to the top or bottom, as it helps align your other lines.

This is a trend I love, and hope never goes away. Nails have never been so interesting and I love it.

I love all types of nail art. Chevrons are quite easy once you know a couple of 'hacks'. You dont need expensive tools or stensils for this, just masking tape, scissors and your fav nail polish coloours. I also use pinking scissors to create different chevron patterns - just cut masking tape to be slightly wider than your nails, cut with the pinking scissors to add the 'wave' pattern. Paint you nails with a base colour and let dry completely. The apply the precut masking tape, and paint the exposed nail, peel off while still tacky and allow to dry completely, repeat until you have multi coloured or alternating colour chevrons :)

I absolutely love the look of these gel nails !

I like the look of some of the chevron styles out there but not all... really depends on the look. I also don't think I have a steady enough hand to attempt freehand but as a feature nail maybe?

Absolutely love this - I think my nails are usually quite boring so will have to give this a try!

Adore good nail art !

Love the look, but there's no way I'd ever be able to achieve it. I can't even do my usual nail polish without colouring outside of the lines :)
