Tone Your Tush Without Taking A Single Step!

By BR Kellie

Kellie Confession:  I hate exercising. I am not one of those folk you see running about with a glorious smile on their dial. I do not spin my way into an adrenaline hitting high. I see bike riding as a form of torture. And I bunged my knee doing aerobics, which was the only exercise I could get on board with, because it was more akin to pulling random dance shapes, but since bunging it, yeah nah. I’ll happily meander around for two hours, but run, skip, cycle or hop for two hours? Nope. Unfortunately that means one does not enjoy the benefits of regular exercise, such as toned muscles and… well… that’s the only benefit I can come up with. So of course I’ve had a wee look into the beauty realm to see what lotions and potions one can apply to try and tone one’s tush (and the rest of the bod) without going to too much effort.

Great looking skin for many starts with getting your scrub on, and body scrubs bring with them a wealth of benefits, such as improving circulation, nourishing the skin, removing skanky skin cells, and some people claim they can even diminish the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. What’s not to love? Coffee scrubs are well loved, as are sea salt scrubs. My pick? Buddy Scrub’s Green Tea Body Scrub, containing sea salt, sugar, green tea, coconut oil, and lots more goodies, is a divine way to rev up your skin.

Once you’ve rubbed and scrubbed your way to smoothness it’s time to further nourish your skin with skin-toning moisturisers and oils.

One firming product that gets the royal nod of approval from our very own Queenie is Clarins Firming Tonic. Not only does it smell amazing (and no wonder since it contains Rosemary, Geranium, and Mint), but when applied to damp skin it works to firm, tone and improve elasticity. They even recommend it for those who are pregnant or for those embarking on a weight loss regime.

If you’re looking for a quicker way to improve your skin’s elasticity (because it’s recommended that the Clarins Firming Tonic is applied to damp skin, rubbed in, then washed off, which can be a bit on the lengthy side for those time short) there are a range of creams you can try, including Trilogy’s Firming Body Lotion, which contains the delightful scents of lavender, frankincense, and rose geranium, with the formula working to firm your skin.

If you really want to splash out, then Linden Leaves Gold Body Lotion could be your holy grail. It contains natural red rice extract, which is said to increase collagen synthesis, resulting in improved skin tone and elasticity.

Let’s be honest, and yes, I have to be honest with myself, sometimes in life you do have to take your bum off the couch if you want to get yourself a toned tush, but sometimes the motivation is lacking, which is why it’s great to know there are products out there that can help you out until you pull that motivation out from under the couch seat and get your a into g.

So are you a fan of toning your bod the old fashioned sweaty way? Or are you a fan of lotioning and potioning it up? What products do you swear by?  Chat away…

Yeah right. I wish there was a cream that could tone the butt

3rd September, 2016

I also haaaaate exercise but no amount of lotions are gonna help me so I have to torture myself on the cross trainer. I'm one of those people that goes once and expects to be trim right away. It's so frustrating that's not the case!

I like both: exercise and some fake tan.

31st August, 2016

I have tried lotions in the past that claim to be firming but realistically only exercise can achieve great results. None the less some of these products about do sound lovely to use.

I would have to bathe in these products to see a change in my tush, a lot of lotion and potion lol, when I do tone I have to do it the old way by sweating it out :D

27th August, 2016

I don't go to the gym or work out burn do play sport. However I'd love to tone my body wth beauty products too so I must use body scrubs more

26th August, 2016

I'm not a fan of toning the body the old fashioned way but it's probably the best way to get results.

Nothing beats exercise. Sorry, unfortunately there are no easy shortcuts, unless you're talking expensive cosmetic surgery but that's not easy in my opinion. However clean, exfoliated, moisturized skin definitely looks better than dry, flakey skin. I do both. I love my coffee scrubs, my fave one being the Bon Bon Coffee scrub and my body butters and body oils. My tush definitely looks and feels better after a good scrub and some body oil or body butter. But did the caffeinated grains give me that magical firmness or that much desired little butt lift in the shower? Unfortunately not. But smooth skin is nice and feels nice, hence why I shell out for that much loved coffee scrub and delicious body butters and luxurious body oils.

I dont exercise ;[ and I have the body to prove it! I do love scrubs tho, fingers crossed they will do the trick for me.

25th August, 2016

I think exercise may be more effective but would interested to know how these products stack up.

25th August, 2016

I am a bit lazy and don't really do either haha, I do walk to and from work every day and we walk a bit in the weekends (weather permitting) as we live in the centre of town so don't really need the car :)

25th August, 2016

I do prefer walk or aerobics for tone my body rather than spend money on this kind of stuffs

25th August, 2016

I have tried scrubs. I havent exercised in a very long time. I have tried bio oil fir stretch marks. I wouldn'tmind giving some of these a try.

25th August, 2016

Definitely potioning up -I like to walk but I am rather time pushed and admittedly lazy in the exercise department .Some really good products above have taken my eye.

That scrub kooks awesome and I do like the look of the Clarins oil to follow. I think masaagw does help but I also think that moving works too. P.s. I wouldn't recommend any pregnant person using something that has Rosemary essential oil in it.
