I love pastel hair. Love it. On a near daily basis I see pastel shades when browsing Instagram or Pinterest, screenshot them and send them to my hairdresser, telling her I *need* to have baby blue hair. I want to rock granny-grey-chic. The mermaid in me needs to try green. The My Little Pony in me wants lilac locks. I could totally pull of soft
And yet, I never go through with it. Why? Maintenance mostly. See, I love experimenting with my hair, but I loathe the upkeep. I also like to change my mind. A lot. And often. I don't want to wait for things to grow out and fade.
As often happens at BRHQ, a product landed on my desk and my mind was blown. The Schwarzkopf Live Colour Pastel Spray. Lasting three washes this easy to use spray is perfect for those of us that want to experiment with pastels and inject a little fun into our lives, without commiting to that loathesome word. Maintenance.
The instructions are simple. Spray on to towel-dried hair, blot of the excess with a paper towel and style. The colour will last up to three washes and will not damage your hair.
Other ways of acheiving the pastel look include mixing a fashion colour with conditioner, applying it and leaving it on for around 5 minutes, or until you get the depth of pastel desired. Or of course - heading to the salon and getting a pro to do the job for you.
No matter how you choose to go pastel, one thing is for sure, you'll need blonde hair (natural or prelightened). This one's kinda non-negotiable.

My fav is going pastel all over and my least is pastel at the roots. The streaks would be fun and anyway not permanent so just have fun and try what you like best.
