We're overcome with Undercuts - would you rock one?

So undercuts aren't new news.  They've been popular in waves - as far back as the Edwardian times.   (And if you're a fan of Ragnor Lothbrok - way back in the day of the Vikings.)

The disconnected style is essentially where the top layers are long and the under layers are shaved pretty short.

Now it's fair to say, undercuts have been more common on our menfolk, with it being quite an out-there style for us ladies.  Well Instagram is suddenly awash with fabulous females rocking undercuts - and they're not just edgy.  They're pretty.

Just check out Game of Throne's Natalie Dormer looking ridiculously glam with a close shave!

I am in love.  Now before y'all start telling me to just do it, let me say it loud and clear - I have a giant moon head.  A side undercut is never going to look as good as these do:

But I am tempted to do the buzzed nape.  It creates a stunning updo, but is hidden with lower or down styles.

So tell us - what do you think of the undercut?  Do you have one?  Would you have one?  Or maybe you quite fancy the pants off of a man with one?  Get chatting below!

No, I couldn't do it! I have very long hair so I would hate to have to wait for it to grow out when I got bored of it!

I think undercuts can look cute on the right person, with the right hair style and hair type. For me, I would never get one because my hair is so thin and flat already that it would just take away from what little volume I do have. I think it would be a pain in the butt to grow out if you wanted to though. Unless you could cover it up with the rest of your hair, it would be at a really awkward length for a while..

They look ok on some people and really stupid on other people (I would be the latter hehe)

Personally, I"m all for them, however they are becoming a bit too common now :(

I have had one before! I had long hair doe to my bottom and one day just decided to chop it all off after seeing Ruby Rose sport short hair on one side and razor cut on the other. I took a photo to the hairdressers and said that's how I want my hair! She was almost in tears cutting my locks off.....NO REGRETS. I loved it soooo much! I had it that way for 2 and a half years. My hair is still growing out from it.

As a baby wearing mum I'm tempted hahaha. When back carrying my girl she loves to tug at my fuzzys even when my hair is tied up!

I quite like the buzzed nape, but i dont think i would suit it though or maybe i would....just not brave enough to get something like that done!

I saw some ladies in this hairstyle and honestly they rocking the looks. But personally I never cut it off like that.

I had one and it was such a hassle to grow out! I ended up cutting my hair into a bob, once it had grown out a bit so it was all one length. Such a waste of growing my hair long!

I love them, they look great but I definitely could not pull it off!!

I love undercuts they really look great (when done right). I could never rock one because my head is a little too massive to pull one off.

I think they are stunning on the young who can wear with panache both men and women .This look rocks on the right pweson

I voted yes, because I do think they are cool, but I wouldn't personally rock this style, I'm long girly locks all the way, but I totally love this on others!

I have the nape of my neck buzzed currently, and I love it! So much easier to manage my hair and I've received a ton of compliments on it :-))

Undercuts are sooooo hot!!!! And I love the look of the jeweled undercut! I had been wanting a side undercut since I was 14 but my mum kept saying how "butch" and unfeminine a side undercut was, for years I had wanted to do it but her words always played in my mind and so I chickened out many times, even my husband thought it would be awful until one day I decided to do it when I went back to red hair. Funny enough since I did it I felt so sassy! And my mum now wants one, plus my husband loves it so much! But the regrowth is horrid and best kept short. It took 16 years to go through with it and I feel like a teenager again :)
