As celebrity endorsements go, it's safe to say Essie have won the war. Seals of approval really don't come bigger than a Royal Seal of Approval.

For the last forty years only one colour has graced Queen Elizabeth II's nails - Essie Ballet Slippers.

Ballet Slippers is "graced with a subtle, sheer finish, a beloved award-winning essential is an iconic color for all seasons."

I really like the neutrality if this colour, it would look fabulous with Revlon's Holographic Pearls over it.

I love the look of this polish but worry that I'm too pale for it. I normally go for colours that contrast to my skin tone.

Well before seeing the colour I would answer with BOLD BOLD BOLD is my thang. After looking at the finish and the swatch on essie. I am in love. It's very simple but sophisticated at the same time. It makes the nails look perfectly manicured which I love in a polish. I might be dipping out to get me a bottle of this baby to add to the essie collection.

It's pretty nude color but not one I would gravitate towards since I have more color in my hands it would look like a thin coat of a white polish on my nails but it looks a nice sort of barely there color on lighter skin.
