Sometimes it's simple art that makes a statement. Mark Rothko. Piet Mondrian. Pierre Dorian. In the most simplistic terms their art is simply blocks of colour. It's the placement and twists they create that catch the eye.
Nail art is no different. In spite of the elaborate designs, decals and techniques out there (have you seen the crazy 'polish in water' tutorial?!) sometimes all you need is a simple block of colour. With a twist.
The reverse manicure is just that. Instead of the traditional technique of emphasising the tip with a contrasting or complienting colour (traditionally white) a very current trend is to reverse that and emphasis the cuticle line or half moon.
Thick or thin, shaped or natural, all you need is a different block of colour to create a very cool nail look. And the possibilities are endless! Feature nails, different textures, a matte vs shiny finish. We've a serious case of nail envy.
What do you think of the Reverse Manicure? Are you a fan? Is it a look you regularly get? Or do you just not get it?

I think this is a great effect and it really looks good on long thin fingers with the effect matching the shape of the nails I think. I also think this would look good with reverse hombre look , shading light at cuticle to dark at end of nail. I think this would be a great effect as well. Another option for me to experiment on and I like the peach and silver and am looking forward to trying it with tiger colouring.. Till next time..
