Manuka Honey - Are You Buzzing to try it?

Guyyyyyys here's another incredible trial opportunity from fab Kiwi brand Wild Ferns.  I'm not going to spend anytime waxing poetic on this one, we have too much to get through.  So listen up, Manuka Honey in Skin Care 101 has begun.

Manuka-who-now? Manuka Honey comes from bees (well duh) that pollinate our native Manuka tree.  As well as being delicous, Manuka Honey isn't just a sweet treat from nature - it's an incredibly potent ingredient for skin care, and medicinal uses.

You see Manuka Honey, like other honies, contains a lot of sugar and not very much water, this means micro-organisms can't easily form and colonise. Manuka Honey also ontains special antibacterial properties including an enzyme that produces Hydrogen Peroxide, a proven antiseptic and antibacterial agent.

As well as its antibacterial and anti-microbial properties, Manuka is full of proteins, vitamins and minerals, as well as antioxidants.  Antioxidants neutralise free radicals, lessening skin damaging and aiding the regeneration of new cells and tissue.

AND as if nourishing, soothing and healing all skin types (including sensitive!) wasn't enough, Manuka Honey is a natural humectant; acting to prevent loss of moisture thereby retaining the skin's natural moisture.

We're looking for thirty reviewers to put 3 products form the Wild Ferns Manuka Honey range to the test - if you're looking to include Manuka in your skin care, these might just be what you're looking for!

Manuka Honey Gentle Facial Cleanser works deep in the pores without stripping your natural oils. Calendula Oil’s soothing, healing and softening properties combine with toning Juniper Essential Oil to remove impurities and makeup without damaging the skin’s natural protective barrier. Rich and nourishing Avocado Oil immediately replenishes to leave skin soft and smooth after every wash.

Manuka Honey Purifying Toner is alcohol free.  It contains the beneficial qualities of premium certified Manuka Honey 80+ blended with Aloe Vera, Bilberry and Witch Hazel.

This purifying toner thoroughly removes remaining traces of oil, makeup and dirt and prepares the skin to maximise the benefits of your moisturiser. These natural ingredients combine to stimulate the circulation, firm the elasticity of the pores and rejuvenate the skins cells. Manuka Honey helps eliminate impurities and assists in the healing of blemishes. Leaves the skin feeling fresh and revitalised.

Manuka Honey Protective Hydrating Moisturiser with SPF30 provides maximum protection and intensive hydration. It is rich in essential fatty acids andantioxidants, Rosehip and Wheatgerm oils instantly replenish, while Collagen and Hibiscus Extract help to maintain skin’s firmness and elasticity.

The tested and certified SPF30 works to shield the skin against everyday environmental damage. This non greasy formula is perfect to be worn under makeup and its suitable for all skin types.

I have a Manuka serum that I use as part of my skin care love love love it

Oh my goodness! Manuka Honey is the best. We eat it like no tomorrow and I love products that have it included. My sister in law makes an amazing ‘heal anything’ paste with Manuka Honey and Tumeric, it’s incredible!

My skincare routine is one of my favorite things to do mornings and night, I love finding products that work well and are balanced with being good for your skin. Its quite exciting finding wee gems. I love reading all about Manuka Honey in skincare it sounds perfect. I have never tried Manuka Honey in skincare and I would love to compare and see the difference it makes on my combination skin.

Would love to be on the trial team! Never tried this before, sounds amazing!

ohhh.. I use a Bee Serum and have a Honey scrub which are fabuolous.. .. would love to try toner and cleanser!..

Wow this sounds great, currently looking for a new skincare routine and really like the sound of Manuka Honey. Would love to be on this trial.

I've used Antipodes day cream with Manuka Honey and bee venom and loved it. It is especially great for oily skin, which I have. It is light, yet effective and improves skin texture.

I've never used Manuka honey in skincare products but frequently use it to fight coughs and colds during winter. I would love a spot on this trial as I always like to use more natural products as well I'm sure it'll smell yummy

I have been using manuka honey as a home remedy for lots of things for years. Not only does it heal cuts and scrapes twice as fast but the kids don't mind it either as its less painful than antiseptic cream. It is also my go-to when making lemon honey tea for colds and flu. I can only imagine how great this skincare range is going to bee. SPF 30 Moisturizer is another big bonus for my pale skin. I would love to be selected for this trial please to find out just how buzzing awesome this is!

Yes I think all beauty savvy people would know honey benefits for hair and skin care like I do. I used to add normal honey in my home made face masks until I got to know a much better and pure form of honey that is Manuka and started using it. These products sure seems to be amazing and I would like to try them for my dull and pigmented skin.

I haven't used Manuka Honey skincare but would love to try it. I love Manuka as a healthcare product so sure as a beauty product it will do wonders with it's natural healing properties. I do have a intolerance to alcohol so the toner sounds great. Would love to be considered for this trial.

Never used manuka products before! Reading the comments from those who have it seems like this could be an amazing product to try. The Moisturiser with SPF30 sounds like it would be perfect for this time of year and my skin is still very weird after having a child and all of my old products no longer work for me :/. I'd love to jump on the trial team for this because I'm really keen on using NZ made products at the moment, and I'd absolutely love to jump on the manuka skin products wagon :D

I have a face mask with manuka honey in it and it is heaven! I'm looking for a new skin care range aswell. Perfect timing to try this out.

I love Manuka Honey to eat but I have never tried it in skin care so I would love to be chosen for this trial please .As I have a fair skin which burns easily I like the idea the moisturiser has a SPF 30 rating. My over 60s skin would be fair buzzing with these products and I like the fact they can be used under makeup as I need a foundation to cover the blemishes which come with age .

I would love to see what effects Manuka Honey have on my highly fussy skin. I have gone from dry skin to what seems to be combination now... my cheeks & nose aren't dry anymore but I am still dry and really sensitive around the lips. I know that Manuka Honey has soothing & healing properties so would love to see what it does to my areas of concern (inflamed, sensitive skin)
