So if you are anything like us here at Beauty Review your head can spin with the plethora of beauty brushes out there on the market for example, Real Techniques, Sigma, or even Bobbi Brown, well M.A.C. has just made it even more complicated by releasing their new look range of make-up brushes.

One word to describe their new brushes would be.......toothbrush. This ‘Masterclass’ range isn’t marketed for those makeup ‘pros’ out there but rather to those everyday makeup users. The brushes stand out with their vertical handles which are designed to make applying make up more ergonomic – whatever that means? Brushes in this ‘Masterclass’ collection have tilted heads to allow for an unobstructed makeup view and are made with Cosmefibres which are a soft synthetic bristle which feels and acts like natural hairs.

Not only is the brush different but how you use it to apply your makeup has changed as well. Instead of swirling your makeup around your face or dabbing it you’re meant to pull, push or let the brush glide it across your skin.

Revolutionary? Scary? Intriguing? How would you describe this new makeup brush collection?

I feel like this is m.a.c trying to rejuvenate the cosmetic tool world (kind of like how the beauty blender did), it sounds a little gimicky to be honest.

They look like something a gynaecologist would use lol ,I agree that they would have to be at a affordable price ,like all Mac brushers they are not affordable, not for the everyday person, sigma brushers do just the same job as Mac ,and there's the jessup brushers they are ok to use too,why buy over the top brushers when others do just the same purpose?

Wow those are very different!!

Brush design looks cheap

9th January, 2015

That looks scary! Not sure if I would really want to put the small one anywhere near my eyes!

Weird, definitely weird.

They look strange and like they're trying too hard to be alternative and chic! I far prefer the Rae Morris brush set, so edgy and cool but with an actual useful concept behind the design

these don't look appealing to me, as a huge MAC fan, I'm not eager to run out and get these... they also don't look like they are going to fit in MAC pouches? or pro bags? poor design to me!!

Wait. What? I would love to be able to click the image to make bigger and try wrap my head around this!!

18th January, 2014

eeek! so confusing! where would you use these brushes?

16th January, 2014

Crazy! We could put some to the test BR??

I find it hard enough figuring out what most make up brushes do, let alone completely changing it up like this!!!

They look quite weird and I want to say I don't like them. However logically they look practical and I believe my only problem is that they are different to many years of make-up brushes being a certain way.
