Can you believe 6 months have passed since we last reviewed Beauty Review?! As always, when we ask you to tell us what we're doing well and where we need to improve, it isn't just to make us look like we care. We really do care!
Last week the Beauty Crew sat down and went through every answer submitted in the BR Survey and began brainstorming the future of Beauty Review. We then rounded up our Beauty Boffins and briefed them on the next step in the evolution of your favourite beauty site.
Now if you're a Doctor Who fan, you'll understand what we're going to do, by one key word. Regeneration. Yes, in just over a month, Beauty Review will regenerate. We'll be having a makeover and will look different with oodles of cool new features. But our heart, the core of Beauty Review will remain the same - we will continue to be the biggest Beauty website in NZ. We will continue to be the place for Kiwi women to find independant opinions on beauty products and services. And we will continue to be your Beauty Review.
Like any lady on her big day, we want to make a grand entrance, with fanfare and hoo-ha, so we're not going to divulge all of our secrets. But here's some hints as to what is in store:
1. Imagine if you will, a place where you go for EVERYTHING beauty related. Whether you want to write, read, watch, look, chat, win or buy, you'll be able to do it right here.
2. Many of you told us you thought of BR as your social media outlet - and we're going to enhance that experience for you. You'll be able to follow and chat to your favourite reviewers, bloggers and vloggers, right here.
3. What do we want to see more of on BR? YOU. Your looks, your MOTD, your beauty products, your trial results. Which is why we think you're going to love the new Photo Wall!
4. Do you get fed up of trawling the internet for different beauty blogs or vlogs? Do you want to expose your blog or channel to a wider audience? Or do you want to start a beauty blog but have no idea how to begin? Yeap, you guessed it. You'll be able to do it all right here on BR.
5. Because I'm appy. Appy. Yes the BR Ap. Finally! We hear you cry. Why the wait? Because we wanted to bring you an app that was seriously useful. Not just a simple way to browse the site and write reviews, but a genuinely 'can't live without it' app. Imagine accepting an invite at the push of a button? Checking out reviews in store simply by scanning the barcode. Wow. We know!
6. Latest beauty news. A dedicated competition page. A dedicated deals page. You likey?
7. Your Beauty Space. Your profile page is about to become even more personal. From products you want, to products you need to review, you'll be able to manage them on your Beauty Shelf. You'll also be able to hook up your other Social Media accounts.
8. And finally you'll be able to click through from key product pages and buy the product you are coverting. And we will have worked hard with our key providers to make sure there are amazing BR deals just for you!
