Is it difficult to find the right cleanser?

Out of all of the facial skin care products on the market, I reckon cleansers are the hardest to choose.  I seldom think twice about slapping a new moisturiser or serum on my face, yet I approach cleansing products with caution and suspicion.  Cleansers just seem to be more of a 'risk'.  They can be too drying, too harsh.  Too irritating.  Too abrasive.  They can unbalance the skin by stripping the natural oils.  Then of course if they're too gentle, they're uneffective and you end up having to use a bit of elbow grease to get the job done.  And of course, we're supposed to be gentle on our skin right?

Now I'm lucky, my skin rarely reacts or shows any sign of irritation, but for our ladies with sensitive skin, cleansing can be the trickiest step to get right.  Sensitive skin is often prone to irritiation and even coming into contact with the teeniest amount of the 'wrong' product can lead to a painful flare up that lasts days.  Acne prone skin can be made worse by harsh cleansers that strip the natural oils, encouraging the skin to produce more.  Eczema prone skin can be inflamed and made worse.  Dry skin can be made so dry it splits.

Yeap, for those with sensitive skin, there is no jumping skin-first into trying a new product.  You need to look at the ingredients and carefully weigh up if the product might do your skin some good.

We're looking specifically for ladies with sensitive skin to put Zeosoft's Natural Mineral Skin Cleanser to the test.  This gorgeous Kiwi product promises to cleanse, detoxify and wash away impurities.  It's a natural, mineral cleanser that can be used daily to remove makeup and refresh your skin.

It’s active ingredients are natural minerals called soft zeolite and Opal A silica, sourced from thermal spring valleys near Rotorua New Zealand. It gently removes makeup and other impurities on your skin leaving it feeling, fresh, supple and revived.

The product contains no parabens, no colorants, no artificial fragrances and is also environmentally 'positive' as it continues to clean when entering the waterways.

We think it sounds wonderful - but as always it's not us who gets to do the reviewing - it's you!  So if you'd like to trial Zeosoft's Natural Mineral Skin Cleanser, tell us about your sensitive skin woes below.  How hard is it to find the right cleanser for your face?  Just how sensitive is your skin?

I don't have sensitive skin but I look forward to reading the reviews on this.

I have to be so careful what I put on my skin. I often get burning and a rash which is really unpleasant. Thankfully it has not happened in a while. I have not found an amazing cleanser so would love to try this.

I fortunately don't have sensitive skin. But keen to hear how it goes for the ladies who do.

So difficult. I have to slowly introduce any new product. Over the years my family of sisters and daughters have benefited greatly from my love of beauty products... and their incompatibility with my skin.

I can pretty much chuck anything on my skin until it comes to cleansers. I hate that tight feeling after cleansing and there's very few that don't leave my skin feeling that way. Don't even get me started on wipes and micellar!

I haven't found a holy grail cleanser yet my skin is dry and sensitive at times, I love cleansers that work with my clarasonic and also by hand.

I have this one and I find it very good. I use it for removing make up sometimes and it does a good job. Rotorua is such a wonderful, spiritual place, that I feel like any product that is sourced from there must have special qualities.

I think I have found my perfect cleanser it's brightened my skin & just overall is my go to that's the Mario Beduschea enzyme cleansing gel. Hope whoever gets this trial finds the end to their quest.

I don't have sensetive skin. Right now I am pregnant and my nose and cheek got sensetive. So I can't handle chemical smells and after using cleanser my cheek get red and burn. Hope this cleanser is nice.

I'm really after something universal - gentle when I'm not wearing any makeup and heavy duty when I am! I don't have the time or the storage space for multiple cleanser bottles on my shelves.

So many cleansers in my cabinet (and beyond). I am loving the Zeosoft exfoliant once a week though. My skin is not sensitive, so I will pass on the trial, but good luck to other beautiful people!

My skin is very sensitive with cleansers and I've tried some that are too abrasive causing my skin to come out in a rash. I'm a big fan of mineral products and anything made locally.

My skin can be sensitive at times but for the most part I don't have it too bad compared to those with really sensitive skin. I think they would benefit more from this.

Having sensitive skin and now being in my 40's I'd love to try this product. It's hard to find a cleanser that does either leave my skin feeling gluggy and oily or that strips away the oils and leaves it dry and flaky.

I would love to be able to try this out. Have tried A LOT of cleaners but nothing seems to work and I'm getting more and more cautious about what to use on my sensitive skin. My skin is very temperamental, it's very sensitive with dry patches, inflammation/redness, eczema and on top of that it's acne prone, bit of a vicious cycle. Looking for that holy grail product that hydrates and soothes but also helps clear away acne. Would love to see if this is it!

Oh pregnancy sensitivity is no fun! Hope you find something lovely and gentle. Have you tried an oil cleanser? It might be gentle enough for you.
