As we beauty mavens know beauty trends come and go in a beat of one’s cosmetic loving heart. Of course, just because it’s a trend doesn’t make it a good one. Sure, some are amazing and should stick around forever (unicorn anything), others just need to go… sooner rather than later. So what’s got us humming and haa-ing at the moment? Grey ombre hair.
Dark hues of hair fading to grandma-grey are exploding all over the interwebs at the moment, and we’re not sure whether it’s a hit… or… yeah. So we’ve got ourselves a pro/con thing going on.
Pro: It looks so different from anything else we’ve seen, while still being super stylish.
Con: It has the potential to come off like a goth nanna (great if that’s your thing, not so much if you’re not)… and do we really want to be mistaken for Lily Munster’s sister?

Pro: It can be easily created and deleted. Take dark hair, add dirty white chalk on the ends and you’re good to go.
Con: If you want to do it properly we suspect it could be high maintenance with many hours and dollars spent at the salon. Especially if you’re dealing with quick re-growth root issues.

Pro: If you’re going grey and aren’t sure how to embrace it, then this could be a good place to start, with a darker grey up top going steadily lighter and brighter to the bottom of your hair. Then you can just let it keep growing!
Con: Um. Yes. We’ve thought long and hard about this one… and we’re out. The thing is we’re quite fond of this look. It’s chic, it embraces a colour that’s usually shunned, and it can also be achieved on hair colour other than dark.
So what say you our beauties… ombre grey hair… hot or not? Will you be trying this look on for size? Or will you be looking the other way? We’d love to know your thoughts, so chat away!
I think it looks ok on some people but I couldn't do it
