What comes to mind when we showcase a product from an NZ brand?  What have we come to expect from a Kiwi skin care or cosmetic company?

Kiwi beauty brands feed into the belief (and thriving sector of the industry) that natural is best for our bodies.  And it seems that by starting from this beautiful landscape a brand is on the right path - all they need to do is to continue to be guided by the land around them.  Any great product starts with great ingredients.  Ingredients that have been used for centuries before being overlooked for fancy packaging, glossy advertising and long ingredient list.

Sustainably grown local ingredients.  Recyclable packaging that won't harm the land that has gifted us with the power of these ingredients. Giving back to the local communities that support the brand and help them grow.  Combine these factors with good ole Kiwi ingenuity and it's no surprise that Kiwi Beauty Brands are a force to be reckoned with.

Just look at Kiwi brand Wild Ferns.  Their motto is Committed to New Zealand, Committed to you.  Wild Ferns' philosophy is to ensure the most important ingredients and components come from natural, ethical, and sustainable sources; retaining and protecting the clean, green beauty that is New Zealand.

All Wild Fern products are 100% New Zealand Made, not tested on animals, environmentally friendly packaged, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate free, Paraben Free and Mineral Oil free.

We're going to be sending out twenty Wild Ferns Autumn Glow sets for review.

Each set contains:

  • Replenishing Day Creme - A beautiful crème containing premium certified Manuka Honey 80+ for daily hydration and nourishment. A potent blend of essential fatty acid rich oils of Evening Primrose, Avocado, Olive and Raspberry Seed provide instant hydration and softness, while Chamomile helps calm and soothe irritated skin for a healthier, more radiant complexion.
  • Ultra Enriching Night Creme - This night crème contains premium certified Manuka Honey 80+ with carefully selected ingredients that nourish and replenish the skin while you sleep. • Intensive Refining Eye Creme - This intensive eye crème containing premium certified Manuka Honey 80+ has been specially formulated to be used around the eye area to hydrate, brighten and soothe the skin. Rosehip, Borage, Wheatgerm and Hazelnut oils will soothe and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while vitamins A, C and E provide high antioxidants which will help to stimulate collagen production.
  • Radiance Renewal Facial Serum - A lightweight serum designed to penetrate the skin and deliver many skin loving ingredients. Premium certified Manuka Honey 80+ and powerful antioxidant Vitamins A, C and E combine with a potent blend of Sweet Almond, Rosehip and Evening Primrose oils to moisturise, nourish and help protect skin from future damage. Royal Jelly and Bee Pollen regenerate and rejuvenate the complexion for a radiant, healthy glow.

All Manuka Honey used in Wild Fern products is guaranteed to contain at least 80% Manuka Pollen – ensuring a skin care experience like no other.  The products feature formulas containing more ingredients from nature and a more natural preservative system.

I've heard good things about Wild Fern. I've seen it a lot but never tried but would like too. I think it is very important to support a brand from your own country. You're supporting New Zealand business and people. I believe New Zealand has great, unique beauty products and most of them smell natural, almost like homemade remedies. How can you not love that.

Yes I wish there were more Kiwi brands to cater for all aspects of life, it is the only way that we are going to have an economy to build up, it is so expensive to live in NZ with 99% of our everyday items being shipping in from different areas of the global and those import taxes are holding us hostage to living in paradise.

any possible chance i have i take it!!

I am a New Zealand citizen, therefore I would rather use 'Kiwi' natural products, to not only benefit myself, but to show the world, that 'Kiwi' is the best!

I am likely to choose a Kiwi brand over an international brand when I am looking at products and don't have a preference. I haven't heard of Wild Ferns but it sounds interesting.

I have never used a Manuka product and I'm really keen to see how it all works !! Especially coming to the cooler season and dry skin !!

Wow!! Those products sound amazing!! I had never heard of this brand before but definitely want to give it a go! No animal testing, locally made and natural? Sounds like a win win to me. Buying NZ products is so important because it's great to support our local brands and businesses! Most of my current skincare is from NZ, Wild Fern sounds like a great range to add to my collection!

I absolutely love Wild Ferris's products, they are smooth and sorting to my skin! I love the idea of a skin care product made just in New Zealand, I think it speaks of natural ingredients, very good for our environment. I believe in supporting the market for kiwi products over that of the rest of the world.

I love trying new kiwi brands, in particular skincare and makeup brands! They seem to contain more natural ingredients, and I love that some contain ingredients that are exclusively native to New Zealand. I really like skincare products that contain Manuka Honey, they make my skin feel great. I have never tried Wild Ferns products before, but they sound gorgeous and would love to trial them!

I use the Manukau Honey Night Creme, absolutely in love it. It makes your skin feel nice and soft in the morning, as it retains the moisture on my face. Would love to try the other products from this collection as it does night creme does wonders for my skin.

Buying kiwi is important to me But only if the product delivers on what it promises

Definitely comforting to know the ingredients are made out you back door! Would absolutely love to trial this range!

I think it is important to back new Zealand operated brands. Would love to give this a go

I haven't heard about Wild Ferns before, but after reading the descriptions above it sounds like a great brand. And since it is a Kiwi brand that just makes it better. There is nothing wrong with using non-Kiwi brands as long as they are sustainable and supportive of their community, but if you can buy a product that is Kiwi made before looking elsewhere then that is the best thing to do. I have recently tried a Kiwi brand that sells natural thermal mud masks and have found it to be a great, unique product. I think Wild Ferns, with it's combination of Manuka Honey and other natural ingredients (and it's stance on sustainability) could prove to be even better.

Hi BR I do believe in supporting Kiwi Suppliers & Brands. It is important that we support our own backyard for our economy & to have our brands globally recognised etc. I love a number of NZ Beauty Brands...Up and coming "Hannah's Bumble Balm" is one of my favourites...I've never tried Wild Ferns but would certainly love too :)
