Whence last I was at the hair dressers for my 4 weekly colour touch up, I mentioned I needed to grab another bottle of my favourite hair oil. And she gave me a look. The didn't you just buy some look.
I never really considered my hair oil use to be excessive, until she told me most people buy one every 3-4 months. Mine had lasted 8 weeks. Now in all fairness I have a lot of hair. A lot. And it's shoulder length. And I use hair oil every day. And so does Milky the toddler. Surely I can't be the only one to go through this much oil?!
Well my hairdresser recommended I might want to try a different oil, one with more bang for it's buck, so I've been researching my options and what do you know, as if by magic a trial product arrived at BRHQ and this oil has me fascinated!
Marula Oil is regarded as sacred in Africa and has been used by generations for skin, hair & health benefits. It has 60% more antioxidants than argan oil (so last year darling!) It also contains essential fatty acids like omegas-6 and -9, which can protect your skin and hair from environmental factors such as pollution, and they are more easily absorbed by skin and hair, as the molecules are smaller than most oils. (Side note...if you suffer from acne but are dying to try a facial oil - Marula is the oil for you.)
We're putting Caithy Organic's Marula Enriched Hair Oil to the test. Retailing at $80 this highly restorative oil contains the high levels of Oleic Acid and proteins that allows the oil to deeply absorb into the scalp to lock in moisture that helps to repair and strengthen the hair with improved shine.
We think it sounds amazing and of course, once again, we have to let these leave the office, untouched by Beauty Crew hands. (We know, it's a hard life!) But that works out well for you - because we need great reviewers to put it to the test.
So if this sounds like something you'd like to try, tell us why below. Do you regularly use hair oil? How often do you find yourself buying it? Do you opt to splurge, or do budget buys satisfy your hairs needs?

I haven't used hair oils before, just for the fear that my hair will look too oily even right after I wash it. I'm open to trying this though as lately I've found that my hair has been getting a bit frizzy since it's growing longer.
