How often do you exfoliate?

If you've got your cleansing, toning and moisturising down, but your skin is still lacking a little something-something, you might want to add in 1-2 exfoliating sessions a week.  You can literally scrub away the old/dead skin and face your day fresh faced and shiny-new.  And in this cold and drying weather, trust your Auntie Natnee when she tells you - your skin needs a scrub.

It doesn't matter what skin type you have (even sensitive), regular, gentle exfoliation can help.  Here's 5 ways exfoliating your face is a good thing:

  1. It can reduce breakouts.  Acne prone and oil skin generally sheds more skin cells - but instead of falling off, they stick to the oils in your skin, clogging pores and creating spots.  Exfoliating can help remove the skin cell debris and prevent a build up.
  2. It can reduce large pores. Clogged pores look larger - exfoliating unclogs the pores allows them to shrink back in size.
  3. It can improve the texture of your skin.  Getting rid of dead cells allows new cells to take their place.  Essentially your skin will go from dull to bright!
  4. It can help your skin absorb other products better.  Blocked pores will not absorb your lotions and potions as efficiently as unclogged pores.  A huge bonus is that it allows sunscreen to absorb more and better protect your skin.
  5. It can help prevent the signs of ageing.  Exfoliating smoothes the skin and helps it keep it's elasticity.

We're looking for 25 reviewers to put the Dr Lewinn's Facial Polishing Gel to the test.  This gorgeous exfoliator polishes skin to reveal and fresh and glowing complexion.  The gentle ‘sloughing off’ action makes this an ideal morning exfoliator under the shower, assisting in cleansing blocked pores and removing oil from your skin’s surface.

It's free from any harsh, abrasive ingredients, containing natural herbal extracts and nutrients for added skin conditioning.  This gel effectively polishes your skin without scratching using natural Jojoba esters (beads).  It's oil free and suitable for all skin types when used as directed. (Use once a week for normal to dry skin, or 3 to 4 times a week for combination to oily skin.)

So if you'd like to be one of twenty five ladies putting this to the test, why not get chatting to us about your exfoliating habits?  Are you a regular scrubber or is it something you need to start including in your skincare routine?  For the regular exfoliators among us, do you notice a change if you skip a session?

Been really terrible as of late need to get on top of it again so I may have to invest in some

20th July, 2017

One to two times a week. I tend to listen to my skin on when it needs it but definitely at least once a week.

I have very oily and acne skin and I exfoliate my face few times a week but haven't found any change. I would like to use this product as it sounds like answering my prayers and would like to try to obtain the results I am looking forward to. I am young and want to get rid of this problem so that I don't have to worry too much. Something that exfoliate to polish my skin and give it that shine which anyone of my age would dream and reduces breakouts.

My skin always feels wonderful after exfoliating but i would have say I'm not good at remembering so my use one a couple of times a week. Not sure that i have found the perfect exfoliate for me yet? Love to try something new

I'm having to exfoliate every 1-2 days at the moment because my skin is so dry and flakey. Nothing I've tried is working including different moisturisers

I've started exfoliating every week now and I keep away ones containing microbeads. I definitely notice a difference after using a good exfoliator as my skin will be left smooth and supple. I would love to try this to see if it's another good exfoliator to add to my list.

Im a regular scrubber!! Body and face! I love the feeling of fresh smooth skin after a good scrub! Its anazing hoe much it changes your skin! And i am always on the lookout for new scrubs to trial :-)

Gosh I do exfoliate but certainly not 3-4 times a week. I obviously should be doing it more often as I only do it when my skin is looking dull or congested! The Dr Lewinn's Facial Polishing Gel looks nice and gentle but sounds like it certainly does a thorough job to give me a polished skin which is what I like!

I get pretty lazy at exfoliating...sometimes it seems like to much effort but my skin feels amazing after I do it! I'm such a fan of Dr Lewinns, this product would be fantastic to trial!

I looove exfoliators, I have one at the moment but its a bit too gentle for my skin which I find is not doing what I want. I exfoliate to smooth out my skin and scrub away flaky skin! I would love to trial this one!!

As far as I am concerned exfoliating is the biggest reason why I avoid breakouts, seems very old school in a way but gotta say I see it when I don't regularly scrub. Having a product that also polishes & with a gel texture screams lush to me. Great to see Dr Lewinns giving us another product, thumbs up here.

I exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week as have a combination skin. I am using St Ives presently and find my face in need of an exfoliation every 2nd or 3rd day.

I have just finished using up my exfoliators, I have to say I am a bit of an exfoliator junkie! I just love the way they can make your skin feel so soft, vibrant and glowing, and further enhance the penetration of products. I have tried beads, apricot scrubs, aha, bha, enzyme exfoliators etc. I usually exfoliate 2-3x per week. Would absolutely love to trial this.

I normally use baking soda for natural exfoliating. It is quite gentle and leaves the skin feeling pretty nice. I have tried Dr Lewinns hand and nail care range and eye creams and they worked wonders for my hands. It would be nice to try this exfoliating gel and see if it works the same as the other products.

very rarely! yet to find one that doesn't irritate my skin and my redness! would love to try this!
