Do you use a separate product to remove eye makeup?

When we're buying new eye makep, one of the key factors we look for is longevity right?  No one wants an eyeliner that will smudge with the slightest touch.  And we certainly don't want a mascara that runs in the rain, let alone if we're watching a sad film!

But then, being ladies that want it all, when it comes to removing our long lasting eye makeup, we want it to come off easily.  We don't want to be scrubbing and using cleansing products around our eyes right?

This is where we run into #firstworldproblems.

  • My cleanser is so gentle it's great for my skin, but it won't remove my eye makeup.
  • I have to use two products, one for my eye makeup and one for the rest of my face.
  • My makeup remover stings my eyes.
  • I thought I'd removed my eye makeup, but woke up with panda eyes

Sound familiar?  Then we have the product for you!

We're putting the Simple Dual Effect Make-Up Remover to the test.   This is Simple’s most effective eye make-up remover - and it's just a little different to other makeup removers!  It's made of two parts, a caring cleansing oil and a refreshing vitamin water, for gentle yet effective cleansing of the most delicate skin area.

To use, you shake it up to mix the two parts and then use it to remove even the most stubborn, waterproof make-up without unnecessary rubbing, leaving behind soft, clean nourished skin and perfectly conditioned lashes.

And of course, being a Simple product there are no artificial perfumes or colour and no harsh chemicals, so it won’t upset your skin.

If you'd like to trial this gorgeous product, why not tell us why below.  Do you usually use a separate product to remove your eye makeup or have you found one product that can do it all?

I usually wear waterproof mascara so this would be great to do the test. Right now I use oils to remove my eye makeup (specifically mascara) since I've found that it works the best and regular micellar water to cleanse my face. This product seems kinda like a combo of both so I'd love to see how it works for all over the face!

Ooh this sounds good! My face wipes say they remove mascara and eye makeup but its a struggle lol balm works ok but is messy and when i just want to remove it quickly wipes are good even though i end up with light panda eyes lol

I still have to use a seperate eye makeup remover and the ones I've tried so far have not been amazing either. Then I use a makeup wipe to remove makeup from the rest of my face which I don't find very effective!

I don't have a separate makeup remover for my eyes, but many nights I wish I did. Often I try to remove my eye make up by using my oil face cleanser (supposed to help "melt off" the eye make up but doesn't get the job done) or I hold make up wipes against my closed eyes for 30seconds. Often I'm left with excess makeup that just never comes off, and go to bed just to wake up with that gunky eye feel. I'd love to try out this eye make up remover to see whether it can solve my problems!

I only ever use baby wipes - whoops. I've found a lot of eye makeup removers to sting my eyes so tend to avoid. Would love to find one that doesn't.

I have so many steps to my 'makeup removing routine'. I usually go in first with a makeup wipe (but I think we all know these aren't necessarily effective for actually removing aaallll the makeup) then I rub coconut oil over my eyes to remove all the stubborn eye makeup and then lastly I'll cleanse my face in hope that everything is off! (fingers crossed!). I'm curious about the two separate parts (cleansing oil & vitamin water) and the 'shake to combine'... just moreso how effectively this would actually work and if you would get the desired combined effect or rather just one lot of oil or water. I would love to trial this product!

I generally just use facial wipes that tend to cover all areas and they seem to be effective

I only use micellar water to remove all my makeup, but I always wake up with panda eyes. I should probably invest in a better makeup remover or one that is specifically for eyes. I recently purchased a new mascara that sticks to my lashes like tar, so if this product was able to easily remove that I would be sold!

I always wash my eye make up off separately, whether with separate product or not...I feel like the eyes need that extra bit of attention and care!

I use Elizabeth Arden's facial make up remover and it seems to do the trick, including for my eyes. I do have a separate product for my eyes for that extra tough job when I have heavy eye liner, but that tends to be for evening event make-up paint.

I use a micellar cleaning water to remove all my makeup as it doesn't sting my eyes. I find this works well but ive never tried a dedicated eye makeup remover before

I most certainly do use a separate product for removing my eye makeup. Day to day I often wear mascara, eye shadow and eye liner, so it does take something to take that all off. I currently use micellar water on cotton pads.

Everyday I wear stubborn eye makeup, which means at the end of the day its a mission to get off. I currently use makeup wipes over my entire face then a cleanser. But afterwards I still have slight tinge of my eye shadow colour, or some of mascara still clumped to the bottom. So when I wake up in the morning I find, like you mentioned above, panda eyes! I've always been scared to use a product right on my eyes, as I don't want it to hurt! But I am totally willing to put this "Kind to Skin" product to the test to see if it can end the age old problem of never being completely makeup free.
