My hair is virgin hair. I've grown out my colour, I have no bleach through my ends, I am au naturale. But do I have smooth, manageable, healthy looking hair? No. No I do not. Because my natural hair type is not one that screams shine. Moisture. Soft.

You have dry hair if your hair and scalp show no signs of oil after 3-4 days of not being washed. Dry hair is usually lacklustre and incredibly brittle, it will split and break easily. Dry hair will feel rough and is likely to be frizzy too. Definitely me! My naturally curly hair gets straightened to reduce the frizz and it's is so dry that it just soaks up any and all conditioner I use. The only plus side is that it doesn't really get oily so I don't need to wash it every day!
