Do you buy your skincare products from the supermarket?

We're busy people right?  We don't want to spend more time on our beauty regime than we have to.  From products that are quick and easy to use, to products that boast impressive results in double-quick time, efficiency is a pretty important factor.  But what about when it comes to buying beauty products? Is it a case of location, location, location?

Remember in those unimaginable times before internet shopping when you'd pick up your skincare products from the department store or pharmacy?  Oh sure you could pick up your 'lady's equipment' or deodorant from the supermarket, but for decent skincare you'd need to make a separate stop.

And when supermarkets first started stocking skincare, a lot of us thought this was too good to be true.  Could you really find decent skincare products down a supermarket aisle?

Nowaways you can pretty much pick up all of the products for an entire beauty routine whilst you're doing your weekly grocery shop.  And the variety is impressive.

Well now, supermarkets are such big players in the beauty industry, they're beginning to offer lines exclusive to their stores - and the brands are good!  essano is a fabulous brand available only in Countdown stores - and all of the products have an average rating of 4/5 or higher!

We're going to be putting The Rosehip by essano Gentle Facial Exfoliator to the test.  This exfoliator refines skin tone and texture for a smoother, brighter complexion. The gentle, soap-free formula contains Rosehip Bio-Exfoliating granules to lift and clear away dead surface skin and impurities, to reveal more vibrant looking skin.

It sounds wonderful doesn't it?  If you'd like to trial this product why not get chatting to us about where you buy your skincare products from.  Is the ease of being able to pick them up from your local pharmacy or even supermarket important to you? Or do you think nothing of a dedicated trip to the department store or salon to stock up?

I would say half half! I like picking up whatever I need from the supermarket for convenience and theres some awesome products to choose from (ie holy grail Essano night crème!) but I also love buying my high end skincare that I can only buy from department stores

I don't usually buy my skincare from the supermarket, but once in a while the odd product catches my eye, and this appears to be one of them. Going to be on the look out for this in the future.

I buy lots of my skincare stuff from the supermarket, and I love Essano! I have their night creme it is amaaaaaaazing and lasts for ages. I also have their facial moisturiser which is really light and so good for day time. They have a really nice subtle rose scent which I love. I also buy my body moisturiser from the supermarket (Vaseline dry skin lotion) - it's so much more convenient being able to pick it up while I get the groceries! Supermarket skincare all the way!! I haven't seen that Essano facial exfoliator on the shelves before though? Is it new? It looks awesome I would love to try!

Oh yes, I love to be able to buy my products from the supermarket. It's convenient and you know you're not paying excessive mark-up on the products either. I do sometimes buy from farmers as well and love the attractive displays, but my main purchasing is definitely done when I buy my groceries. I think a brand does really well to put themselves on the convenient supermarket shelf.

Yes, I pretty much always buy my skin care products from the supermarket. They always have a great selection of garnier, nivea, loreal etc. I've heard a lot about the Essano range. I've only tried the rosehip oil but would love to try more of their products. I'm keen to have a look at this face exfoliator and how gentle it is for my sensitive skin. I've found that all the other facial exfoliators I've used are too harsh for me.

I usually buy all my beauty products from the supermarket and sometimes the pharmacy depending what I'm doing, but the convenience of the supermarket is great, I've found that a lot of the products that I use are there. Occasionally I will splash out and get a facial moisturiser from a salon. My skin is very changeable at the moment. I can't say I've tried Rosehip Essano Gentle Facial Exfoliator but would love to give it a try.

I have purchased some of the Rosehip ones from the supermarket. Particularly the face moisturiser and the body moisturiser. Great for keeping skin looking more youthful.

It really depends on my budget. I tend to stick with Nivea eye cream which is stocked at supermarket, but as for my moisturiser, I like to treat my skin. My current moisturiser is an antipodes one. As for my masques and scrubs, I pick them up always on impulse from where ever I am prompted

I'm super busy all the time so I like to buy from the supermarket, if they don't have it, I go without for a little longer.

I do most of my shopping from the supermarket as it's easy to get with the groceries. More expensive items I get duty free. I would love to try this exfoliator, sounds really nice.

I buy most of all my products from the supermarket. I have a very busy household and don' have time to go here there and everywhere for different things. So much easier if I can get it all in the one place.

I love the concenience of buying basic beauty products from the supermarket at what are usually good prices and value for money. Plus I love not being made to feel guilty by beauty counter assistants when I choose not to purchase anything...big bonus for supermarket purchases.

6th March, 2015

I get a few items from the supermarket and also shop online - whatever is easiest at the time! I definitely love the fact that there is a great selection at supermarkets...a little bad too as I'm tempted to buy more than I need! Would love to give this Exfoliator a go, sounds just what I'm after & I'm almost out of my current Exfoliator!

I do buy a range of supplies from the supermarket but buy the Trilogy Rosehip oil and other products from their range at the chemist. I haven't heard of the Essano range before (or haven't noticed them on my supermarket rush) but sounds as though they could be worth investigating.
