Every so often (ok, more often than not), when trial products land at BRHQ we can't help but get a little excited.  But I must confess, today's trial product has us a little more excited than usual.  Why?  Because it comes hand in hand with that oh so elusive tagline of being...a Hollywood Secret.

Ok, we all know there are no secrets in LA, but come on, a product used by Madonna, Kate Hudson, Gisele Bundchen, Liv Tyler, Brooke Shields, Tim McGraw, Karolina Kurkova, January Jones, Emily Blunt, Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria, Gucci Westman, Rachel Zoe and dozens more, has to be amazing right?!

So what's all the fuss about?  This all-purpose and all-natural product is based on an ancient Egyptian formula that Cleopatra used to keep her skin radiant and glowing.  It's perfectly safe to use anywhere on your body but luxurious enough to use on your face and for the last twenty years, it's been marketed soley through word of mouth - now that's our kind of recommendation!

Yes, ladies, we're putting Egyptian Magic Skin Cream to the test.  The secret process behind this cream, blends six natural ingredients to create a rich balm which melts into an oil on your skin.  And what's it used for?  Well, how about this as a list of benefits:

  • Dry and sun-damaged skin
  • Rashes
  • Burns
  • Acne scarring
  • Chapped lips
  • Stretch marks
  • Eczema and psoriasis
  • Brittle and damaged hair
  • Bug bites and wound care
  • A night moisturiser
  • Eye cream
  • Makeup primer
  • Shaving balm
  • Hair masque

And the 6 magic ingredients?  Olive Oil, Beeswax, Bee Propolis, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Honey. Every jar is handmade in Texas without parabens, preservatives or chemicals.

Ok, so we think it sounds pretty fabulous, but of course we need a dedicated trial team of great reviewers to put it through it's paces!  Does this sound like you?

Put your hand up below and tell us why you'd love to put this to the test - which of it's many uses appeal to you the most?  And what are your thoughts on traditional beauty products?  Do you tend to go the modern way, favouring products that have been produced using modern technology and science, or do you prefer centuries old recipes?

I need this for my rough nursing hands and my 14 year old daughter would be able to use it on severe acne scarring on the forehead. I love that it's made from recognisable ingredients too.

I would Love trial this products I have psoriasis and Eczema I hate the steroid based creams Doctors give me and find they don't work that well. I Would love love to try this Please :(

Wow this would be amazing if it does what it says it can do! My skin has a few of the issues listed above: I have burn scars over my chin from a fire burn I got as an infant, my skin is dry, I have stretch marks (children), my hair has dry ends, I don't currently even use a night cream or eye cream and could definitely do with a Makeup primer, Shaving balm and Hair masque!! Woot this is the product for me to trial!!! :)

I actually love the thought of age old remedies/products - I think they appeal more to me as normally they have less of the chemical/man-made stuff in them, we need to go back to the good old days!!

I'd love to put this to the test! The fact that you can use it to combat stretch marks appeals to me the most. Stretch marks, I have quite a few of them. I would love to trial this and see for myself the amazing results I'll get. I pretty much suffer from all the problems listed above though so I'd really appreciate trialing and reviewing this. I love that the ingredients are all natural and that it's all purpose. I really need this in my life. Pretty please with a cherry on top :) xo

I would love to try this! My skin has changed this year and I'm unsure why.. it is blotchy and half 'too oily' half 'superdry' I need a miracle so would love to give this a try and hope that it's the perfect product for me!

Where can I get this!? If it really does was it says I need it. Sun damage + Eczema and dry skin. My skin needs some serious therapy.

That list has my name all over it, if it's really magic in a jar which I'm. Already convinced it is then I need to try this stuff! All those ingredients listed have good intentions .. I'm excited about this one !!

Ooh I'm excited about this one!! I would love to try it as an eye cream as my under eye area is the first place showing the signs of aging! I love traditional products but I do get caught up in the hype of new products!

I would love to try this product for stretch marks on my hips (they look like scars, eek!) and chapped lips, which I've really been suffering from lately! I'm a fan of traditional beauty products because I have a deep suspicion of the chemicals that go into new products - I'd prefer tried and tested, natural ingredients!

This sounds fantastic for my skin. Would love to try it as an eye cream, dry skin, stretch marks, and chapped lips. An all in one would be awesome

13th May, 2015

I like both modern and traditional products. What I tend to favour are products that are as natural as possible without added things like parabens so this sounds like a fantastic product! I would mainly use it as a night cream, eye cream and lip balm but am also interested to try as a hair mask.

13th May, 2015

I'd love to try this for my acne scarring and stretch marks! I used to go down the route of modern technology but because a lot of the ingredients have foreign sounding names it scares me a little that I don't know what I'm putting on my face. I've now looked into natural remedies and this sounds like the perfect product to road test! After all, the recipe wouldn't be century years old if it didn't work :)

13th May, 2015

Love the sound of all the natural products in this cream. Would love to try this on dry legs and even as a shaving balm. Sounds like a product to have in the boys bathroom too, as I believe in teaching my boys to look after their skin, and this packaging is certainly not girly in their minds! Would trial this on my youngest who reacts to bug bites.

13th May, 2015

I love a good secret weapon. And I love the sound of this one! As I'm going to be training for my first half ironman over winter, my skin is going to take a hammering from cycling and running in the cold and wet. Also, chlorine is going to play havoc with my hair, so that's going to need some magic to keep it looking fab!

12th May, 2015

Wow this sounds just amazing - I would definitely use it on acne scarring and a sun spot which occured on the one occasion I didnt use sunblock. I love the old style packaging they have used. I do quite like the old recipes - was thinking of this last weekend for an infected finger - my Dad would have bandaged it with a mixture of sunlight soap and epsom salts - always worked a treat - would love to try your product
