The Best of Bearded Beauty!

Does the sight of hair upon a man’s chin cause a thrill to race through you? Does the mere thought of that face full of hair follicles have you reaching for the device that provides you internet and send you swiping through the likes of Instagram and Pinterest for more unproductive hours than you care to admit? Although, in my opinion, staring at beautiful beards when you could be cleaning, cooking or doing work could hardly be called unproductive, I’d call it inspiring.

Yes, I admit, I’m a full-fledged obsessive fan of the beard. Big and bushy, trimmed and tidy, I’ll take what I can get and it’s a good time to love the beard, because men are embracing their beards and taking them to the next level.

My latest lusty beard addiction is what has been coined ‘the merman’. Men are dyeing their hair in bright colours. I’m seeing head and beardfuls of hair in blazing orange, azure blue, rich purple and hot pink. Some are mixing it up and leaving the hair on their head their usual colour and only dying their facial hair, while others are stepping out with heads and beards a mix of rainbow colours.

Check these bearded mermen babes out:

Get a further fix by hitting up #mermanhair on Instagram.

The other beard look I can’t get enough of? The beard bouquet. They’re so pretty, so soft, such a nice balance to the often harsher fuzziness of a bearded boy. I don’t image it’s all that easy to eat when you’ve a bush full of begonias dancing around your mouth, but oh it looks knees-a-wobbly good.

Another beard style I can totally appreciate is the lumberjack beard – it’s so raw, so real, so throw me on the bed and ravage me like a cave man you sexy beast you. You can find a fair few of them (and seriously this will send you wondering where the last couple of hours went) at Bearded Kings. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I wondered if I were the only Beauty Review Crew member to have such a fixation on some chin fuzz, turns out I am not. There is one other obsessed member*, and another who is a bit of a fence sitter and she reckons she only likes short groomed beards – but I reckon Bearded Kings will push her over the edge into full on beard fandom.

So are you a beard-lover? Can you spend hours staring into the soulful eyes of beard loving men? Do you appreciate the effort men are making with their facial hair? Or do you like your guys fuzz-free? And….. do you think a bearded man can appreciate a girl who doesn’t like to shave either … ‘cause … you know …. I’m just  …. um ….wondering ….(for a friend you understand). Spill!

*BR Natalie: I confess. It is I. I have a beard obsession. My favourite account to follow is @raisedbywolves83 You're welcome.

Depends on how the beard looks on the guy. If the guy looks better with a beard go for it and if he looks better clean shaven go for it. I won't let my guy shave off his goatee and mustache because he doesn't look as good without it. But I love how smooth and not scratchy a clean shaved guy's face is. I definitely have gotten more pimples since getting together with a guy that has a beard and it took awhile to getting used to the feeling of beard hair against my face and sometimes pricking me when I go in for a kiss. I would ask my guy to lose the beard if he'd look fine without one.

I love the beard thing! I finally convinced my partner to grow one and I think it matures a mans face- makes them look a whole heap better that's for sure. It's not a massive beard, but definitely enough to keep his face warm on these cold mornings. I don't think I could get him to put color through it but that would definitely be awesome!

Not a beard lover at all. I would find it very hard to take the blue guy above seriously in a conversation.

21st July, 2015

Um, no. lol :)

21st July, 2015

Not for me -I like my man clean shaved and nothing worse than kissing a guy with a beard --YUKKY !!

I just can't get on board the beard wagon, they're not my cup of tea I'm afraid. Which is good, if we all liked the same thing there would be many men left out in the cold :P I love the look of a bit of stubble, but the practicality of it is another story. Stubble is soo scratchy and leaves me with a dodgy looking rash around my mouth. Haha. So, boring old clean shaven it is!

I think the flowers look cool but can't imagine this trend being rocked out in public (correct me if I'm wrong), but how cool would that look at a wedding! Haha I can just imagine groomsmen wearing flowers in their beards instead of in their buttonhole ;p

I'm not much of a bushwacker lover myself. Firstly the hygiene factor irritates the beejeebers out of me & 2ndly it just doesn't turn me on. I think some guys suit them & yeah an rock the whole look but isn't my cup of tea Mind you I'm single so yeah. I'm a lover of clean cut face maybe a small mo & the tache but not down for the full bushwackher lol sorry ladies

No, no, no! I love my man clean shaven thank you. I dont even lust over any guy that isnt smooth and clean shaven.

20th July, 2015

This cracked me up! I am sorry to say I am not a beard lover! A bit of sexy stubble yes but not the full hog!

20th July, 2015

Ummmm...No. I don't like beards. Or mustaches.

20th July, 2015

I have always liked facial hair on men as long as it's groomed.

20th July, 2015

Meh I don't personally like huge beards. It's either creepy, hipster or just nerdy looking. I do however REALLY like the dyed merman that looks so cool!

20th July, 2015

Ohhhhhhh beards are my jam at the moment!! I asked my hubby to grow his goatee out to a beard and what does he do? Shave it all off to a Chopper Reid mustache nooooooooo! Needless to say I was devastated lol

My fiancé really struggles to grow a beard, he try's but it just doesn't grow even. But his facial hair growing is improving tho.

I like him with some facial hair but I'm kind of happy he can't grow a full on beard. When he's completly clean shaven he looks like a 7year old (yes he really looks that young)

The Husband shaved his beard into a handlebar tash when he did his Summer shave last year. I went on cooking strike until it was gone! x

Hahaha oh gosh I wish I could do this but my husband cooks tea probably more than I do. He's very domesticated. Perhaps I can hold out on other 'things' ;) haha x
