Are You A Scrubber?

There's nothing quite like getting your scrub on. I rock out on the way it invigorates the skin, gives it a glow and leaves it feeling silky smooth. And the choices! Salt, sugar, coffee, jojoba beads, pumice... It's almost like if it's grainy and you've got a body part that needs exfoliation, there's a product that can do it. There's even one area of our bodies that apparently needs exfoliation that I had no idea about - and when I checked with the Crew I found out none of the girls ever do it or even knew to do it - and now we're wondering what the heck we've beeing missing out on! So what's what? What's out there that can help you say bye-bye to dead cells and hello to fresher looking skin? Check these out!

You can't beat a good body scrub. There's nothing I love more than turning off the shower, smothering myself in a sugar or coffee scrub and then buffing it over my skin before rinsing it off and stepping out of the shower feeling silky smooth. What's loved by Beauty Review members? Pure Fiji Sugar Rub, with a rating of 4.9/5 it's got the tick of approval big time!

Do your lippy loos look a bit worse for wear? Dry? Chapped? Like wrinkled prunes? Then a good lip scrub could well work wonders in revealing smoother looking pucker-upper-ers. In fact if you're a fan of wearing matte liquid lipsticks then a good lip scrub is a must! LUSH lip scrubs are especially beloved by many - and who can blame them? They come in delicious flavours and do a fantastic job.

I exfoliate my face twice a week without fail. It keeps the skin looking fresh and bright and not all gunked up feeling. Of course depending on your skin type and what works for you, you may exfoliate less or more. One product that's caught the imaginations of BR Beauties is the Dr LeWinn's Facial Polishing Gel. This gentle exfoliant rated 4.6/5 and can be used on all skin types - but do follow their directions as normal or dry skin can use it once a week, while oily or combo skin can scrub a dub dub up to four times a week.

Maybe you're on your feet all day. Maybe you like to go barefoot as often as possible. Maybe you just have the kind of feed that dry out, crack and cause you grief. Don't ignore the part of your body that takes a daily hammering. Show your feet love with a good scrub, like The Body Shop's Peppermint Reviving Pumice Foot Scrub. Top Rated on Beauty Review at 4.7/5, this is one product that may well sweep your feet off of their feet!

Finally? There's scalp massage, scalp masks, scalp oils, scalp cleansers - and now scalp scrubs. Apparently Leimo Scalp & Body Scrub is formulated to invigorate the scalp, while cleaning away grime and dead skin cells. The upshot of it being that you improve the texture of your scalp and make it a place where thicker and fuller looking hair may want to reside. Never tried it, but I'm a scrubber and I'm up for anything!

So, are you all about the scrub? Do you love getting down and grainy? What are your favourite scrubs? Have you tried a scalp scrub? Should I be trying a scalp scrub? Get chatting!

I would worry about not being able to wash all of a scalp scrub out properly, and then it looking like dandruff once it dries out!

I've only ever tried the face and body scrubs but I haven't heard of the scalp scrub until now. I'm keep to try it if I find it

I'm all for scrubs. Use a face scrub twice a week, Foot scrub and a hand scrub every now and then. Have used a body scrub in the past but wasn't impressed with the scrub.

oh la la the scalp scrub sounds amazing, i love a head massage at the hairdressers so actually this might be just as amazing. Im up for it definitely.

I love using lip scrubs, I have dry lips and using a scrub before I apply my lipstick makes it look so good! I use the Elf one as it comes in a bullet lipstick shape and its pretty cheap. I do want to try the lush lip scrubs as I have heard so many good things! I've never tried a scalp scrub but would be curious to try it as I do have a dry scalp and dandruff. Would be interesting to try!

I've never heard of a scalp scrub. The Pure Fiji scrub is pure joy to use leaves your skin smelling just like the delicious scrub, although it does leave an oily film which is probably why your skin stays smelling yummy. So it's best for winter. Lush lip scrubs are also really good, I like that you can lick them off afterwards since I'm to lazy to grab a tissue and wipe it off.

I have used baking soda with a couple of drops of lavender oil as a scalp exfoliant before. It felt amazing. This post has just reminded me that i need to do that again. I don't often exfoliate my face, but when i exfoliate my body i use gloves.

I love love LOVE pure Fiji, I will hound anyone I know going to Fiji to pick me up some. What I love is how my body feels after the shower. Not only did it get a beautiful scrub but the oils in it leave my skin just the right amount of slick so that when my legs rub together...divine! Im also a growing fan of the Scrub Co products for the same reason as Pure Fiji, its all about that after glow.

I would be keen to try a scalp srcub, and wondr if it would also be helpful for my husband who suffers from dandruff.

No I'm not a good scrubber haha - I'm really lazy :) I have tried a Lush shower scrub which was pretty awesome though and should probably get some more

I need a new lip scrub, but there is no way I'd try a scalp scrub. I have thick hair & I'd be shaking out grains for days!

21st August, 2017

I love scrubs. I used to love coffee scrubs but I'm going towards solid scrub bars. I'm really enjoying my Lush one. I've always wanted to try that Pure Fiji Scrub.

I really love scrubs and especially like playing with my own recipe of coffee scrub. Scalp scrub looks interesting and actually makes sense to me. There have been times where I wondered whether shampooing is enough to get your scalp clean - especially after swimming in the ocean for a few hours, feeling coated from scalp to toe in dried salt.

Yes love a good scrub! A scalp scrub sounds relaxing. Hmmmm if only I could find someone to do it :-)
