Maybelline Volum' Express The Rocket Mascara Review

out of all the Maybelline mascaras I have tried and reviewed recently this is the one I like the best so it gets the highest rating. First of all I am a fan of the big brushes and tubes the brush and big tube is similar to its competitors/other brands. This brush is not scratchy as some of the comb or spiky ones tend to be. With only a few strokes I got good results with the portion of product just right. Its not good having to constantly re dip your wand back in and get more product for me because every time you do this you are pumping bacteria from the air into your mascara which certainly affects the shelf life and quality of the product. For me it also doe not distribute too much product in blobs either like the push up drama from the same brand did. The only down side is this one has less in the tube than some of the others like the push up drama in spite of its wide container looks. The mascara came off easy enough and did not feel awful or hard and stiff on my lashes. Great lift and volume. The price above was certainly not what I paid for this. As this mascara is new I have not yet noticed any clumps. This mascara takes a while to dry as it is quite a wet formula but perhaps a little less wet then the push up drama one. So if you are in a hurry this may not be ideal for you in the sense that your makeup may smudge as you need to allow time for it to dry if you are in a hurry or like to wait for your mascara to dry and then apply another layer. I find with this one its fine to layer up while wet and its what I prefer to do. Lashes are fanned out and look longer and defined as well as fatter.

I'm currently on my second tube of this product (I tend to buy things in 2's if they have good reviews) and I really really like it!! Initially on opening I was sceptical about the short bristles but on using after the first time I realised they work really well at separating and actually giving my lashes a longer, more defined look.

It does take more than just a one-stroke-brush to make your lashes look great, more like a little effort of 2-3 applications to separate the lashes, but the end result is worth it.

Will definitely purchase again.

I do love Maybelline mascara, and definitely enjoyed this product. It game me length where I didn't even know that I had length! I didn't even realise I had some of the lashes it was showing me, nor how long they really are, so in that sense this product is amazing.

Maybelline mascaras are typically quite wet and take a while to dry, which I am used to. However, this product took a long time to dry. It clumped very quickly which meant I looked as though I had less lashes than I do.

If you have full lashes and want to accentuate their length, then this would be perfect for you. If your lashes are less full then you might have a hard time with this product.

For the most part this product is amazing for length. I cannot convey how good it really is for giving length. Additionally, the wand is a benefit for this, as I could get to the ends easily so my outermost eyelashes were able to shine.

Wow I got this product brand new in a bulk buy and I've been using it everyday since I opened it.

Pros: - Doubles the length of my eyelashes - Makes it look like I have a whole lot more eyelashes than I really do

Cons: - Can sometimes clump - Applicator brush can be a bit big for some people

Would I buy this again? yes

I've been using this mascara as my daily mascara for the past couple of months and I'm really liking it. The packaging is easy to hold, and always easy to find in my makeup stash as it stands out. The brush is really easy to use, a larger than normal handle, and applies product evenly. I don't seem to get any smudging during the day as I have noticed I did with another one of my mascaras. 2 months of use and still going strong. I think it did make my lashes have more volume, it didn't really add any length though. This is a great drug store product, that works well and does what it says it will.

The applicator is very unique and makes for really easy clump free application, the formula is long lasting and doesn't clump or dry crusty. recommend 10/10

This is another top favourite, it lengthens, thickens and just makes my lashes so bold that I am shocked they can look that good. The brush has tiny bristles which I think are plastic or rubber and being so tiny they get right up in there and coats every last bit, I only need 1-2 coats and my lashes go from scarce to full and luscious. Again I love the packaging the blue always stands out so I don't have to go hunting for too long to find it. The formula is leaning more to the thin side but again you don't need many coats to get the look you want, the word they use to describe it is sleek and that is exactly what this mascara is and a must have.

I'm still trying to find my holy grail mascara but this one comes close.

The mascara wand actually has rubber bristles which I've never used before so was very interested to see what difference it could make?

WOW I was surprised at how easy the rubber bristles applied the mascara. Next to no clumping with an even application. For once I didn't need to apply two coats, I could have if I wanted but I didn't necessarily need too. This is awesome!

This mascara also washes off super easily. Simply use your normal makeup remover or even just warm water :-) and it didn't give me panda eyes which is even better!

I did find the consistency to look like it would stay wet for ages but it actually dried very quickly.

I would recommend this product as it works great.

Never thought I'd ever say that, but I prefer my mascara to have said rubber bristles on the brush, because they really do a fab job of separating lashes. And the bristles are short, so it really does make for a great application.

This mascara gave me length and volume and really does it all. And at the end of the day, this is easy to take off as well. The formula isn't overly wet like some mascara formulas are either and it certainly dries black.

love it! this mascara is fantastic to wear on your lashes.there will be no clumps when you apply it,and your lashes will be so long,no wonder they call it the rocket.i wear this mascara atleast twice a week,i have another favourite,but the 2 i have can not be beaten ..they provide you with the longest clup free lashes..i recomend this mascara to others.
