Maybelline Color Show in Show Me The Green Review

I have this colour as well as coral craze and mauve kiss and I love using them they apply so nicely and aren’t too thick or thin. They leave a great colour on first coat. I always have trouble letting nail polish dry but this dries so fast it was no problem. A great product for an affordable price.

I own around 20 different shades of maybelline color show, this is one of them. I love the formula of the color show polishes, they are long wearing, opaque and stunning colours. Not too thick or thin, and two coats normally gets me a gorgeous opaque colour that with top coat, lasts me a week easy. They are affordable and definitely worth the money!

I got this in the last BR vault which was amazing. I have never tried Maybelline ColourShow polish so of course I had to give it a go. I don't own any green polishes so this popped my cherry. It is quite a gorgeous green, not green but a teal colour.

The bottle is actually smaller than I expected but I love the cylindrical shape, It fits in to my hand perfectly. I actually find the lid hard to unscrew when I am one hand full of polish in and going on to the next hand. It is an odd shape to grip that's for sure. The brush is disappointing! It is very thin and sparse. It makes applying the polish time consuming, making sure that I get every part of my nail. It takes me four swipes to get the right coverage....rude!

The polish itself is very thin and watery. I expect polish to be creamy and thickish but this was a huge let down. Once I applied it I could see just how thin it really was. It looked like I was using water colour paint on my nails. Really thin and no real true colour to it.

The polish itself is a whole new level of let downs. After 3 coats it is still quite watery in appearance and see through! I wanted bright vibrant and gorgeous green not a thin ripoff $2 shop sort of polish.......no thank you! Moving on to the next drug store brand polish thank you very much!

This is not a colour for me, but I will happily pass it onto one of my daughters.

It takes 2-3 coats to get a good cover though, and while the first two coats dry quickly enough, the third can take a bit longer. I allow at least 5 minutes after the third coat, then apply a top clear coat - then I use "instant dry drops" or the like - still not instantly dry, but with another 5-10mins, they are touch to go and I can get on with my day. The finish with this polish and a clear top, gives a gel look finish.

Lasting power - this polish wears off my nails rather than peels or chips & this doesn't normally happen for 2-3 days, which is about normal for a nail polish.

I got this from the We love nails Beauty Box it is not a colour I would normally choose so I'm glad I got to try it because even though it's green it goes with so many colours really well so gives you lots of different options. Nice compact bottle I found the brush nice and short and easy to use. You do need at least two coats for a decent cover it is fast drying which impressed me I hate waiting for nail Polish to dry so that is a bonus. Fourth day and still no chipping that's impressive to my hands get a hard life and wasn't expecting it to last past day two like most nail Polish I have tried. Overall I am really happy with this product and will purchase more.

I received this nail color in the ‘We love nails’ BBBE. Not a color I would deliberately purchase myself, but I kind of like it.

This shade of green color is an ‘Irish green’ (googled green shades to put a name to the color!) It a soft, almost deep minty pastel tone. Not such an obvious green that people might see it and think, ‘Oh green nail polish, that’s whack.”

The small 7ml bottles of this nail polish range, I really like. It makes them more affordable than the larger, generally standard 13- 15ml sizes, and there’s a better chance that you’ll get to use most of the product up before it goes tacky.

The consistency of these polishes is a little on the thinner side, so it dries quite quickly between coats, and you need 2-3 coats for an opaque coverage.

The brush wand is short and stubby, and a brush itself is a little on the smaller side, I find that 4 brush strokes are needed to coat the entire nail. The first coat tends to apply a bit patchily with this color, but that seems to fix up with another coat or two.

Wear-wise, I find that it's usually beginning to chip slightly on the second day after applying.

I’ve tried and own about five colors from the Maybelline Color Show nail polish range. I quite like them for the reasons mentioned above, and while not perfect, I’d purchase again.

Got this from the vault and it definitely drys quicker than other nail polishes. Love the bright green and how it's a nice pleasant shade, not a bright Fluro or puke colour. Suits with the other polish I got from the vault beautifully. Does take multiple coats for decent not patchy coverage
