I got this one at a sale, a rich red shade. It's bold , creamy and feels fantastic on my lips. It does not last all day but will last for a good few hours before you need to touch it up. So well worth the price.
I have the shade 'Verve'. Think I've only worn it once or twice because it's so super pearly, it makes me look like a weird space girl!!!
It's moisturising enough and has decent colour pay off but doesn't last very long because of how moisturising it is.
I might try another shade because the formula seems decent enough. Avoid the colour Verve unless you're keen on pearly space lips!!!
i pickd this lippy up for $6 at a makeup sale and feel in love with the colour i have naturly dry lips and most lippy dry me out even more but this lippy doesnt it is so moisturising and it lastes really well through out the day with out smudging i would hightly recomend this lipstick and great value for money xx
So I won this in one of the November giveaways and after trying it I'm actually quite intrigued. This lipstick with a "transformative silk moisturizing complex" comes in 44 shades covering "smooth nudes, rich reds, yummy plums and luscious pinks" I have # 295 and it is labelled as rich/riche. At first glance its a sleek opaque case with a chocolatey hue, it opens easily and twists up to reveal about an inch of product. Application is smooth and it gives a nice solid colour that will last until nearly lunch or morning tea depending on how much you eat and drink. It thankfully doesn't have too much of a taste residue so I find it doesn't irritate me like some and also doesn't seem to dry out my lips! It feels lovely on and if you google for swatches you'll see why I'm now so keen to try some more shades.
Tips: Buy all of the shades! No seriously have a look at the swatches online there are some fantastic shades. You will need to reapply if you're wearing it all day, lip liner helps but in actual fact it reapplies really nicely and no yucky clumps appear like some brands I've used.
I have purchased the shade sultry and it is a lovely neutral nude pink. Nice pigmentation, long wearing and very similar in texture and packaging to the Max factor lipsticks which were released at the same time (no surprises there as they are both the same company), however the let down for me is this lipstick really dries out my lips and I am not too keen on the fact it contains parabens so I no longer use it (I try to avoid in all lip products). Overall a good value lipstick but not too fond of the effect it has on my lips or the dubious ingredients list.
I was pleasantly surprised by this formula, I really wasn't expecting much as I generally prefer a matte lipstick or a gloss. The formula is very smooth and buttery, it's not dry but it's not slippery either - a nice balance. This wears decently, around 3 hours with minimal drinking/eating. It lasts longer and wears better if you pair it with a liner. Overall these are pretty fantastic, they're comfortable, have a gorgeous shade range, last a decent amount of time and they're affordable (around $4 USD)
This is a beautifully smooth & creamy lipstick I got this in the shade 'fervor' which is an offish red/ medium/bright marone that's a little pinkish, interesting vibrant color & one of my current favourites.
This lipstick is slightly balmy and very moisturizing as far as lipsticks go & the staying power is brilliant. The packaging is sleek, stylish & sturdy although the case scratches quite easily if your throwing it in your handbag along with things like keys. The color display panel on the case doesn't do the true color justice, my color appears quite dull there but upon application is wonderfully vibrant. This is a great quality lipstick i really can't fault it.
They have many colours to choose from but me trying to be in the safe zone I opted for a glossy nude pink lipstick (Darling) to try first to see if I liked it. The packaging is simple and what makes it look even better is at the bottom of the base it displays the colour of the lipstick inside.
The formula is thick and creamy, it glides on evenly with no patchiness and it has a beautiful pinky tone that is just noticeable but subtle on my lips. It is a little drying but the stay power is awesome. After eating and drinking ( being careful) it still stays, after about 7 hours of wearing it shows slight patchiness but its hard to see with a lighter colour.
I will be buying more from the covergirl range, these are fantastic lipsticks and im ready to try different colours.
I own this in the shade Rapture. The lipstick comes packaged beautifully in a rectangular purple case. Rapture is a beautiful peach shade with a gold shimmer through it. The lipstick has a generic lipstick smell to it. I was impressed at how pigmented this was for a peach shade. The colour payoff is intense and the colour along with the gold shimmer look stunning on the lips. The lipstick is also hydrating and feels very pleasant to wear. I was also impressed that this left a peach stain on my lips after wearing off, which most paler colours don't. This lasted really well wear wise but obviously came fully off during eating, being a cream lipstick. The only negative to this is that the shimmer sets into the lines of the lips and makes them look dry, so I wouldn't recommend this for mature skin or very dry skin.
